I live here and i also hate that...
I loathe censorship. i am an adult what right has the government to dictate what is right or what is wrong morally for me to see or do?

prakaa: all they did in Fallout 3 was take out a few words like "morphene". I sthat so bad?

Aliasalpha: The stupid lack of defined standards caused an artist to change their work to avoid official censure.
YES thats so bad!!
I agree completely that its a completely irrelevant bit of useless crap but its the principle of the thing

That's a good point
But as you said, the general public don't appreciate video games as we do-like an art form

Aliasalpha: The thing that really annoys me is that this does NOTHING but promote piracy and the importing that doesn't help local businesses

I always find it funny when ignorance outdoes capitalism.
Haven't heard of this game, but sadly this is getting pretty typical for Australia.
Far too many inconsistencies with Australian games ratings... Never happens with books and movies here.
We DO need an R18+ rating... NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They should censor movies, books and pictures too. Who those artists think they are?
Ironically, I am under the impression that Australians embrace acts of pre-adolescence fornication quite openly, even before the era of violent gaming.
Risen will be good I think if dev learned from Gothic 3's mistakes and bugs.

Gothic 3's bugs were pretty much gone after a few months after release. I enjoyed it a lot more than Oblivion. Am I the only one who thinks that?

I wouldn't say that.......
There is a law against it
I was following Risen's development. So, "ah crap!". We need an R18, but we also need to get rid of the old archaic politicians and a community of wowsers. :|
As a South Australian, I apologise for not trying harder to get rid of 'you know who'.

I hear it's a curse to say the name. If you say it, you will be smited down and will be forced to play RTSes on a console for all eternity!
This was pretty funny though.

Just import it from ebay, no sense in being restricted by the opinions of idiots

That's one option. Or I'll get a UK relative to send it in gift-wrapping. Whatever works out best on passing by customs o/` nothing to see here o/`
Customs don't care unless its proper illegal, I've got a mate who imports stuff all the time, even things that have been refused classification and he's never had an issue
Yeah, I'm just paranoid :)
I have had packages containing books ordered from New Zealand (cheaper) checked a few times, the package ends up with a big 'APPROVED!' sticker on it. But mostly, unless it's food products, weapons, drugs etc... It's not an issue.
