OK, not sure if this has been asked before, but what is your Favorite game from gog and your Least Favorite game from gog?
Yes, you can have more than one but try to order them highest to lowest.
Favorite: Gothic, Giants, Sacred, Port Royale 2, Stonekeep, The Feeble Files
Least Favorite: Robinson's Requiem (wish I could return it!), Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, Castles
Best:
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Sacrifice
Beneath A Steel Sky
Worst:
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader
Port Royale 2
My favourite is definitely by Revolution, not sure if it's broken sword 3 (It'd be BS1 if it was here, I like the story of 3 enough to forgive even the tedious box puzzles) or the upcoming In Cold Blood
My least favourite out of the ones I have is either Fallout 1 or Lure Of The Temptress (I only HAVE the fallout games & the revolution games so far, almost bought jagged alliance 1 or 2 from that new sale but they were just a BIT more than I could afford to take out of my netbook fund).
There's plenty of games on GOG I'll never buy, I hate racing games & FPS' like Unreal so there's a lot of the catalogue that doesn't appeal to me in the least... I'm tempted by a few unusual games by the low price when before I'd never have looked at them but I'll have to wait till I'm bored & cashed up to take the plunge

I don't rank in levels, rather what I like. Most purchases are from titles where I'm familiar with others in the series, or that I hear recommended a lot with elements I like. Occasionally, if I have a weekend with nothing to do, I pick one at random.
So far, I've enjoyed all the games I've purchased aside from SHOGO:MAD. awful.

Really? I just bought SHOGO and aside from the fact that it looks dated, I have very much enjoyed it (so far). To me, it is yet another decent shooter from Monolith, on par with the NOLF series or Tron 2.0. However, I haven't finished it, so it may take a turn for the worse that I don't know about yet.
Like Ois, I don't really rank my games and have enjoyed everything I have bought so far. The only games from GOG that I haven't liked are the freebies: Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress. I don't know why, but I just can't bring myself to actually play either of them for more than 5 minutes. I'm sure they are great games, but I think I lost my taste for the point n' click adventure more than 10 years ago.

It's decent, you're right, but it's still weeaboo.
I can handle games looking dated, but for me, there was nothing I found good about it. Some of the later missions are rather frustrating, but it doesn't really improve.
Certainly not the worst game ever made by a long shot, however I would struggle to find a positive point.
I really liked BASS and LoTT muchly though! So I guess it's anecdotal proof that the catalogue here is enough to appeal to people of differing interests. Or something, this is one of those 1am posts before I sleep & wake up and a reply is out of place 20-30 posts later, such as that it may not be as coherent as I would like it to be.
Hmm... luckily none of the games I picked have been outright unfun. I've enjoyed them all.
So, most compelling vs least compelling:
Most compelling
Freespace 2 - Do in no small part to the modding community. With the FSOpen sexy upgrades, it was like buying a current-gen game for $6. That, plus an endless supply of fan campaigns and the fact that this is my first space combat sim made this a very pleasing purchase.
Least compelling:
Unreal Gold - I was as fan of Unreal Tournament back in the day, and hearing that this was a landmark title I got it. It's still good old Doom-y fun (weapons and levels are great), but it's definitely the least unique and most bland of all my purchases. Still worth it, imo.
