Anyone know about this game? I talked to the dev and he seems unsure to bring it to GOG, preferring Steam. Sure, it's his call, but would YOU buy it if it was available on GOG?

Here's a link to the Desura site for more info

if it's on desura, I don't understand why he doesn't release on gog.
It's not more work and increasing his market is always a good thing.
Seeing the "huge interest" you guys have for this game, perhaps its better that he concentrates on Steam...

Well some of us just woke up! ;-) Maybe give it a day or two while peeps have a chance to go have a look?

~going off to check it out~

As to coming to GOG - or anyplace for that matter - I do think devs are well served by attempting to get on any and all of them. Not only should he be contacting GOG, but every other store, since the more outlets, the more sales that are likely.

Sheesh, I srsly need to think about starting a management company for devs so they can focus on what they do best - make games. Clearly business mgmt. and marketing seem to be classes most skipped taking somewhere along the way. But this is true of most creative people - this stuff hold very little appeal ;-)

Any developer is always welcome to submit their game via http://www.gog.com/indie

I hope that helps :)

Perhaps if he wants us to look at his game he should bring it here. I'm not going to some other gaming site, for which I do not have an account, to view his game.
I agree with other posters the more visibility for an indie developer the better. You need to be on every gaming site.
Wow, sweet game! Too bad he's having such a rough time dealing with Desura and their downloader. Ugh :-(

While this isn't my cup of tea in terms of genres, this game definitely looks amazing and he should follow Judas's advice on submitting it to GOG. I am absolutely positive that a huge number of GOG peeps would love this game.

-I- want you to take a look so I can convince the dev that there's an audience here for his game.
Would be nice to have the game here.
I don't see that game getting green-lit on Steam, but maybe I am pessimistic.
For some reason I already have the game in my account.
I will give it a download and play later, it looks interesting enough to give I a try.
had a look, as far as my veiw goes steam and desura can keep it.

Just looks like another generic shovelware indy game. Dont get me wrong there are a few indy games out there that are fantastic but you have to dig through so much utter shite to find them, I dont feel like this is one that is worth digging for,

Just my personal opinion on it though, Folk can and will disagree. That is their right,
So I installed the game.
My impression of the game - who knows, I do think unimpressed counts though. The game told me that it couldnot connect to the internet so it decided to crash, so I just uninstalled it.

I cannot believe that a game made in an early version of GameMaker such as that cannot be played without internet access. So I am not impressed as the games page does state DRM free on Indie Royale.
To me that means it can be played ofline at the bottom of a nuclear bunker with no need for anything not included on the external drive carrying it.

Edit:::
Looking at the file that was installed it calls itself the autoupdater for HeroSiege, so the original installer did not even install a game, just a method to then install a game.
Panic Art Studios really need to rethink this approach, this is not very good at all.
