wpegg: I don't get paid big bucks, just quite nicely.
The difference is that my lifestyle is one where I don't chase personal possessions. My housemate once described me as spartan, because she noticed that there were no decorations in my room. Decorations mean nothing to me.
So I have a lot of spare income.
gameon: Yeah, its nice not to have clutter/not be materialistic. But your spare income shouldn't really be dished out like sweets to people. I mean, do you regularly give money to hobos? The more you give, the more people want (well with tramps anyway). I just hope you dont go overboard and end up in debt or something!
Not at all, in fact I am a very calculating person. I don't give money on the street, and that which I give to charity I keep a very keen eye on those charities. In fact I agree with you that the more people give, the more people learn to take, however in this case it's just a game, it's not that much. I tend to think of giveaways in terms of rounds in bars. I bought a round a while ago, which came to £40, and none of those people bought me one back (that's mates girlfriends for you), That round would have equated to the entire weekends worth of giveaways. In that light, it's spare change.
ZPavelZ: Spartan? You have a beard and go around in speedos with a red garment attached to your shoulders so that everyone could see your naked torso?
What do you value than, good sir? :)
A decent torso. I fail in that regard.
