As I said, I know that, but I have yet to see the drivers (or adapters) that would make the advanced features (pressure sensibility, gyroscope) work on the PC. I was quite disappointed when I found out that there are adapters that allow you to connect a PS2 controller to the PC but apprently transform the button input into digital signals. Don't know if anything has changed about it, but as I said - last time I checked this was the case. And I believe same goes for the gyroscope for the PS3.

MS put a hard limit on the number of axes a single input device can have. Pressure sensitive keys and motion controls require those, but implementing them exceeds the limit.

It surprises me that many people seem to feel that way. I haven't really played the game a lot yet but I must admit that for me these seemingly trivial things make the game more immersive and help grow attached to the character I'm controlling - and so considering the whole game's premise I consider this stuff a very good idea in terms of game design. True, it has also crossed my mind several times that all this stuff may be pure exploitation of the controller's capabilities - but after giving some honest thought to it I stick to what I've described above (which also corrseponds with the goals of the game's developers).

No way, you can ask the same question in 10 years and will probably find the same answer. ;-)

Yes, Heavy Rain is excellent, but you will need a PS3 to play it. But it's affordable: a second hand PS3 can be found for 150 - 180 Euro. But only for one game, that would be to much I think.

Mate I love story driven games myself, but the plot in this will make you kick yourself at the end when you hear the "reason" for the story.

On saying that, I do think the game should be played as the devs (I think they did Omikron) put alot of effort into pushing boundries in gameplay, but it quite often comes across a a tech demo and I think it loses its credibility at the end. Maybe I could go all zen and say its about the journey not the destination, but here the destination is akin to trying to get somewhere with Ryanair, it gets you close....but not close enough :)

Just buy the PS3 as a bluray player and get the good games too... seems like a solid purchase. I plan to do just that when I have the funds.

Too many amazing exclusives on consoles this gen in genres PC gamers love.

Rented it, beat it, returned it. depending how long you intend you carry the story and the decisions you make (something Mass Effect 3 failed to do) will effect the ending.

The only gripe I have is that the acting is kinda stale excluding the main character Ethan Mars imo but charaters like Ethan's son have shit performances

For a Playstation 3 emulator you just have to wait, 4-5 years at least for a prototype version and 10 years until most of the games are supported. The world could have ended by then. ;o)
Of course I could be wrong and a PS3 emulator is out there next year, but I wouldn't count on it.
I also don't think Sony would take kindly if a working emulator would popup now when they're still trying to sell their consoles.

And even though PCSX2 is in an advance state, you need a hefty PC to run it and the library is far from complete.
So emulation is a bit of a retro thing, most good working emulators emulate systems that are ten years or older.
But still I love emulators, improved graphics, save states, short loading times and other things make me prefer to play on an emulator rather than the console itself.

I haven't yet (and I've only seen Heavy Rain played), but I hear they're quite similar -- though Heavy Rain is supposed to be better. Fahrenheit won Gamestop's Best Story and Best Adventure Game in 2005.

I loved Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) its not a game for everyone but I was just sucked in, I am actually planning on purchasing a used PS3 just for Heavy Rain and probably find some other games the kids like for it.

Don't know if you know this already, but you can get controllers for your computer.

I actually have a PS3 arriving in the mail today because I was tired of missing out on exclusives (GT5 will consume much of my time). I haven't actually looked at Heavy Rain but it sounds like I should.

As to PS3 emulators, The PS3 has an 8-core CPU, so you would need at least that just to emulate it alone. The horsepower needed to emulate the system properly probably won't be in consumer grade PC's for quite a few years.

Did they ever fix the insulting rewards for some career races?

Better to get a PS3 now, as even PS2 emulators need very strong PCs to work properly.
