Thanks all, their website is running really slow for me, I couldn't spot a faq anywhere. I'm going to try switching comps.

I don't have any of those and just did it the old way, but yeah I was a bit confused by that login scheme at first sight.

I think the first symbol (airmail envelope) stands for signing in with your e-mail address, IIRC. I don't use any of the social network stuff either and was able to buy Be Mine 1 and BIB. But the bundle from Groupees is the first indie bundle I've come across that requires you to log in each time you want to download your games (not sure how Indie Gala and Face Kick work, so far I've never bought them). Might be less open to abuse this way, but it's quite annoying.

In general, yes. But that's exactly the reason why I don't like it. All these sites where you need to be logged in keep adding up. ;)
Hm, I've been checking out the list of games with a metacritic score of 82 and there isn't much on there that I'd be interested in having a Steam key of. Maybe Recettear or Bookworm Adventures Deluxe, but I can live without them and I'd say the chances are pretty slim that the bonus is a game I'd like, I'd be able to run and I don't own already ...

And what makes them think that?
Waves kind of rings a bell, has it been included in another bundle recently? Or maybe it was just in the Because We May indie sale?
Legend of Grimrock would be a game I'd love to have, even though it won't run on my current setup. But I suspect that speculation is just wishful thinking; the game is much too new and too popular to be added in a bundle, letalone as a secret bonus. It would overshadow all the other games in the bundle. Besides, I think I'd prefer to buy it full price from their website or on GOG; it would feel cheap to get it in a bundle already and I'd prefer a DRM-free version.

Yeah, like I said. Wishful thinking. ;)
I guess Waves is a good bet. It could also be one of the games already featured in previous indie bundles like Gemini Rue or Aquaria - which would be a good thing for the few who don't have them yet, as they're both great games. Could also be Monday Night Combat.

Oh, I forgot to ask; can anyone tell me in what way the Avernum games depend on each other? Is the second trilogy like an independent three-part story in the same world as the first one or does it explicitly continue the adventures from the first trilogy or does each game have its own independent story requiring no knowledge about the other games?
And is Averneum: Escape from the Pit a completely new game or a remake of Avernum 1? And in case of the latter, is Jeff Vogel planning to remake all Avernum games with the newer GUI, new portraits etc.?

Escape From the Pit is the most recent Spiderweb release and it's a remake of Avernum 1 (which itself was a remake of Exile 1) into the newest engine that was used in Avernum 6/Avadon. As far as I know the plan is still to remake Avernum 2/3 in this engine if Escape From the Pit sold well but there hasn't been much more info on this. And is Averneum: Escape from the Pit a completely new game or a remake of Avernum 1? Each game is described on its product page on Spiderweb's site as "Experience with previous Avernum games is completely unnecessary to enjoy Avernum 4/5/6" I read that the second trilogy takes place many many years after the first one. Avernum: Escape from the Pit is a remake of the first part, yes. I don't know if he plans to remake the rest, but I think that I read somewhere that the next game that he is going to work on is a sequel to Avadon.

Ok, thanks! I'd much prefer to play the Avernum games with the Avadon interface and more consistent character art, but I guess it could take ages before 4-6 are remade then, if at all. In any case, it's good to know that no previous knowledge is required. (But judging from the screenshots, they all share the same player characters, don't they?)

You build your own party in every game, kinda like, say Icewind Dale. They do use the same pics for the characters.Neobr10
