TheEnigmaticT: I'm enjoying it

Fujek: Out of personal interest and an obscene desire to see an Enigmatic GOG employee being whooped by evil beasts I wonder if you ever considered streaming some of your (and other GOG office adventurers) private strolls through dungeons trying to rescue the beautiful princess?
There's plenty of free software out there for that purpose and free streaming servers as well, so you wouldn't have to abuse any GOG office resources.
I'm not sure how that would work off an android tablet. :P Also, I'm probably terrible to watch playing games; I'm old, slow, and creaky. It's been at least five years since I was any kind of competitive in gaming.

Even then, my best claim to fame was being top 200 globally in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat PS2 back when I was a tester on that title at EA. Hardly playing in a big pond, that.

Neither am I, but there might be a way and maybe you still play on a 'normal' PC at times?

Where would be the fun to watch you rush through games without getting a scratch?
There's already plenty of people doing that. I'd want to see normal people like you play and I think that most of your audience isn't as young as back when they played their good old games either :p

gameon: It is. Although i wasn't aware of them, so i missed any promos.
Or you could just buy a boxed copy. They seem to go for somewhere around 3-5€ these days. And it is steamworks anyway, is it not?
Anyone have any extra keys from this, I wasn't able to buy it myself so any extras would be appreciated

Yep, but you'll need to post a good recipe in return:

Ubivis: Garshasp is the only Game I don't have, but pay $6.00 for it? No thanks. I will pass this time
Definately it is not worth buying the whole bundle for 6 dollars just for Garshasp. I got it for 2,50 dollars on a Steam promo, and it will probably get down to this price again on the summer promo (which will probably be next week). Hold for it.

Fred_DM: the game's kind of pointless now that the sequel is out and patched into decent shape.
No, it is NOT pointless. I have both games here and i have to tell you that the first RO is very different to RO2. Even in hardcore mode (tactical mode or whatever they call if, i dont remember now) RO2 is far from being as tactical as RO. RO is better if you are looking for more realism and tactical gameplay.

Oh and RO 2 still has a few annoying bugs, even after almost 1 year after release. Not to mention that it was the only Unreal Engine 3 game that i had performance issues on my HD5870. Overall, RO1 is still a better game in my opinion (and most gamers agree with me there, check steams forums).
avatar
nijuu: How are the RO servers these days?. Couldnt really get into RO2 (full price :( ...).
Garshap is pretty crappy based on the reviews. Other games seem kinda neat.
RO servers are still going fine, there is always at least 1 full server (50+ people) whenever i log on. Even Darkest Hour (a free RO mod that you can download from Steam itself) has a healthy online community.

I gave them 10 USD, they were asking for 25 which seemed like a lot to me. I have no idea if I wanted any of this, but the soundtracks made me want to try them out (for some reason I've had good luck with video game soundtracks being awesome lately).

maycett: Avernum 4, 5 and 6 are in the bundle! Buying just for that :D
Same here! What a deal and in Mac versions too! Yay! :-)
Go go, for the goal 3! I want Postal 2! :P
avatar
gameon: They have rumoured that maybe something else may be added. They already added a few music tracks from "celldweller".....
That guy made part of the soundtrack for Need For Speed.
Don't remember if it was good though, but I usually like it's soundtrack so...

gameon: Did you get the bundle?

I only liked the infinity shred music.

I didn't think much of the viking comic. And i'm eagerly anticipating the indie movie cordoba nights, which will be available for download tomorrow.

Postal 2 complete (drm free for pc/mac/linux) will be unlocked at $40,000 sales. So far $28,000 sold.

And theres also the mystery 5th goal bonus. Supposed to be the opposite of what postal is. From what they said.
No, not yet thanks to my bank printing the card for whole eternity....but i will as soon as it's there.

I don't really think we will see that 5th thing unlocked, unless it's goal is fairly low.
And opposite of postal 2....ARPG?
avatar
gameon: Hopefully your bank problems are sorted before the bundle finishes.

At the moment they will be lucky to get to the postal 2 mark.

I'm not sure what they meant by "opposite of postal". But my interpretation is that instead of crass humour and "senseless violence", it might be something with puzzles and non violent.
I hope so too...Tomorrow is 3 weeks since the card was ordered...seems that they don't like my money...

I guess so, most people interested already bought it.

My guess is either adventure game or rpg, but we will hopefully see.

HGiles: Hm. I would like to get this for the Avernum games, but I've got an RPG backlog. I've got Avadon on Android and it's pretty fun, but I'm not wild about it. @firstworldproblems

TheEnigmaticT: I'm enjoying it, but Great Ghu does it load slowly!
It was running slowly on my tablet for a while, but the recent update helped.

I took a look at Avernum 4, and I have to say, no thanks. I don't mind old, odd or low-res interfaces, but that interface is plain *ugly*. Color scheme is bad and there's a ton of icons that don't look like a ton of work went into them. I thought the Avadon interface was a bit quirky, but it's miles better than the screenshots I saw of Avernum 4. Avernum 6 seems to be better than 4, though.

Yeah, the developer kept updating the engine and the artwork throughout the series. Keep in mind that Avernum is more or less a remake of Exile, and go look at those screenshots to see how far he's really come from Escape from the Pit to Avernum 6.
