cich: The bonus for those who bought the bundle before Friday is a giftable copy of it. They will be sending the codes later today.
Nice!

Cool, I can give mine to the guy who wanted the bundle. Maybe i'll buy another bundle later on(Even if it won't give me another bundle since it's after Friday.) just to spread some codes around.

And to get us to the $40k mark ;)

Anyway, if groupees actually decide to give those links out any time soon, and the person i want to gift actually comes back online, then finally i can rest easy. I am too impatient, but it'll be nice when i've offloaded all these things and can get some games played for once!

You keep saying that thingses....but we can clearly see that we have 3 days left and only need about 1.5k in sales to get to that mark.....even without my purchase they could get there quite easily. As such, i'm not too concerned about that.

My major concern is spreading some love(and games) around to my fellow goggernites. ;)

I wonder how long the codes are valid? I don't want to gift it to Ki11s0n3 and find out from him/her later on that the code became invalid due to them taking too long to use it. :\

Yeah, but if we get to $40k then the people who get the gift link, will also get the bonus game.......!

What if the bonus is Daikatana? Or Big Rigs? Then they'd HATE US.....0.o

Well Big rigs is universally put down.

But i've heard many people saying that Daikatana isn't that bad once you get past the first few levels. Lol.

I love Daikatana actually. I was just using it as a joke(since so many claim to dislike it/that it's a bad game.) to reply to your comment. ;)
Daikatana?

FUUUUUUUUU.....

Now for serious. It isn't the worst game in history as many would portray it, but certainly subpar comparing it to Doom and Quake. The "make you his bitch" marketing didn't help either.

When it came out it was outdated, had a terrible first impression with the starting few levels, bad design choices (a shotgun that can fire only volleys of 4-5 shells) and horrendous AI. Just the number of reloads, because my team mates got squished by lifts and doors made me quit it.

Come to think of it, it's the Duke Nukem Forever of it's age.

Lol.....

I personally(Wasn't aware of the game or the marketing stunt at the time it came out.) liked the "Make you his bitch" stunt when I finally found out about it, and persoanlly I never saw what offended so many people.....heck, people say it all the time in MP gaming, and people still play MP.
---------------------------
Yeah the AI sucks.....I usually left my teammates in an open area(To avoid them getting stuck in terrain or coming into contact with the hazards on the map.) and killed the enemies in upcoming corridors/tight spaces/dangerous areas before moving them forward to the next open area. I also saved so if they got stuck in something I could reload and try again without having to do a ton of stuff over again.(The save anytime feature helped loads with this.)

Even so, I loved the game...especially the various eras/maps and the funny teammate banter(Like when you die, for example, and Superfly comments about liking your sword....and your shoes.). I also liked the first few levels(Mainly because of the setting and scifi/dystopian future theme it had going for it.).....yes, even WITH the pesky mosquitoes biting all the time. :p

(BTW when you played did you use the patched version & have the save anytime feature turned on? Just curious. If not, then that would explain part of your frustration with the game, at any rate.)

I think it was the arrogance of John Romero that offended people.

I still don't see why people would use that as a reason to justify(Over other more legitimate reasons, anyways.) not buying or playing the game. :\

Again, people call people crap in MP all the time, yet people don't stop playing multiplayer....I wonder why that is.

Hey, i'd still try the game, but in regards to the advertising campaign, he "got egg on his face" for saying something so arrogant, and then the game not turning out to be overly great.

Just like they say about alot of sports stars, you've got to back it up with your ability. He didn't.

I wonder if people(Those who didn't like him saying he'd make them his bitch, etc.) would've reacted as badly if he had the ad say "This game will make you it's bitch!" instead of "John Romero will make you his bitch!"? :\
I played vanilla and never looked back on it.

I wasn't offended by it, it would have been a great stunt if there was a game of such magnitude to deliver.
