Looks like publishers weren't paying them for their work, so they had to shut down. Shame, really. I really wanted them to come out with a title as awesome as Bionic Commando: Rearmed was.
They ended up issuing a 'thank you' to Ubisoft and Capcom, but did Not thank Warner Bros. in the statement.
Guess who screwed them on payments? Bugs Bunny!
Too bad.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed is ftw.
Very sad. I loved Grin from the start (Ballistics was awesome, Bandits: Phoenix Rising was also surprisingly cool once you gave it a chance).
I'll be looking forward to seeing what the studio formed by some of their ex-employees are going to come up with. Understandably they're going with the publisher-less route with digital distribution.
Well the terminator game they made was shit. I'm sure that is one reason why they weren't getting paid. It doesn't make it right though. When someone does the work they should get paid.
Sucks. I really liked BCR.

Bollocks to bionic commando and the like, who the hell will make GRAW3??
Still the publishers not paying the artists... looks like our friend the music industry is being a bad influence here

It is the most evil thing you could ever do to a developer. May the responsible party burn in hell for robbing the developers of their well-earned money.
Well there was no thanks for warner brothers and they did have a habit of screwing with j michael straczynski's work which is why we have no more Babylon 5
Yeah lets go get the flaming torches and pitchforks.
Actually sod that, get the plasma rifles at T51b armour
Eh, reading between the lines it sounds like they didn't meet their milestones and thus didn't get the corresponding milestone payments. That's pretty much how things work in business: don't deliver what you promised, you don't get paid for it.
but... but... I wanna dress up like a brotherhood of steel trooper and shoot plasma at warner bros!
you're RUINING it!
Screw publishers, a large part of gaming is in such a sorry state because of them. I liked Bandits too :(
*counts down to the days before the best developers become their own publishers again*
Sadly thats not likely to happen anytime soon, at least not whilst keeping the big budget games to the same standard. Millions of dollars have to come from somewhere and if big companies don't fund the developments then the devs will have to take high risk loans.
Smaller games, hell yes its possible but when something like Braid cost $100,000 its still a fair chunk of change
We'll remember them for BCR =(
Damn. I like Advanced Warfighter very much and I hope for next one. UBI should do something about that...
