Megabits not Megabytes :) 50mbits is 4.8-4.9 MB/s ...for same price in our biggest town here people get 50-75 MB/s

Now I see what one of my friends meant with "keeping social peace in Bulgari b giving cheap Hi-Speed internet". Please don't think of this as anything rude.

You guys there should be happy, as you probably have cheapest internet in Europe. :)

Btw 10Mbps for ~12euro/month here

We have cheap internet and awfull paychecks so yes it kinda merge :D
The top offer in the city I live is 150 megabits/s for 25 euro(includes 20 HDTV channels & 130 digital ones+phone line)

We still don't have HD channels here, and If I want an internet connexion stronger than 1Mb/s , I'm gonna have to pay around 40$/month, with 5 GB download limit / month but Free downloads from 12PM to 7 am.

I really miss living in Paris :( ... Greatest City in the world IMHO.

It looks like you haven't seen my location. I think we even have lower paychecks on average than you guys. :)

Damn that's cheap! Here we have a country-wide leader (SBB - Serbian Broadband - if it matters) so we get same prices/max speeds in entire Serbia.
What I have for ~25Euro is cable tv(no HDTV included, that's +~7/month) and 10Mbps internet w/o phone line

My girlfriend lives in Burgas and pays half of the money I pay for net for double the speed... So it depends on the provider.

Uhhh download limit... damn this is harsh... from my local tracker: 2.80 TB.... a lot of months in Lebanon I guess....

It could happen, the phone company back home finally upgraded their system. Previously the fastest you could get was 5mbps, but now it's 40mbps. A shame that they did it within months of my leaving.

And yeah, I don't recall except rarely getting more than 300kbps speeds at downloading.

Comparing pricing for internet in Bulgaria and US for instance... we definetly get a lot cheaper internet... and that is strange
