summitus: Hmmm how strange , been using Steam for 7 years , have nearly 300 games and never noticed any spyware or anything else for that matter , post like this are totally unfounded and just a little paranoid dont you think ?
paranoid? everyone makes money of your information. facebook, google. besides that.
steam games can become unplayable because they dont support windows 2000 or whatever reason. i like to be able to play my games anywhere, anyplace, anytime.

As I said I have nearly 300 games on Steam and have played them in many different places on many different PC's and never had a problem once , not with spyware not with compatibility , DRM or any other such Phantom issues people make up because of this riddiculous hatred for Steam , Steam is like any other service out there.

Many games become unplayable on newer OSs. That isn't a steam specific issue or any conspiracy, i'm afraid.

Also yes many make use of your information but to varying levels for various reasons. Some actually use the info gathered for legit purposes, hard as it is to believe.

Steam does it not to spy on you(or at least not for any evil purpose), but to limit you selling off your games/etc.

Which is same thing with gog really, unless you can actually sell gog games individually.

Anyhoo, I've never had problem with Steam either and the survey is optional :P
It appears GOG staff listened to your opinion and changed the idea of giving away the codes, so there won't be any tearing servers apart for a game code :)

I love gog for doing this. They gave away so many games in so short period of time :)
I can't believe people complained about the way they gave away games. Dumb ass cry babies.

One of the reasons we will never have world peace ... there is always plenty of "Dumb Ass's" as you call them .. to spoil the party :)

This also makes me excited :-) The sale is like three weeks long so maybe I will have a chance to grab 4-5 games to myself, and some for my friends :-)

I've written a rant one time about GOG not making game sales so often like other vendors, and I'm feeling silly and stupid right now, because gog's proven that even if they're a little bit late, they're still the best with spreading holiday joy everywhere.

So many people are made happy with free game codes (not to mention EE Gold for free coming on monday! huge LAN party with my friends appear to come up, hehe)
Well and I know that Steam will probably have huge sale during holiday week, but until then I will have no more money because of gog brilliant offer.

Happy holidays for everyone :-)

+1 For you Keeveek , and merry xmas too you and all your family too :)

I think I have put enough aside for at least 20+ sale games and will probably spend hours picking them , and this post is also a reminder to everyone to keep the faith with GOG .. they always deliver in the end ! :)
I think it could be fun if GOG gave codes for other people to give away.

There are already alot of people that already do giveaways themselves though :)

but yeah it could be fun I guess :)

How are they going to give out the next codes? The previous ones were posted at about 6 am where I live, so I didn't even see the giveaway until hours later. I already owned the games anyway, so I don't really care, but clearly there are much better ways of doing this.

They are being fair buddy. They are asking you to list a favorite food for a chance to win a Roa 1/2 code randomly.
