Will you just shut up? Nobody wants to hear your whining about Apple and how you disliked the Macintosh of 9 years ago in a thread that is about the great news of Mac games being released on GOG.

I have an easy solution for you: Either buy games on release or wait for promos.

If you get a game when it is on promo for 50%, I guarantee you that on average, it won't go on promo for below that for quite some time, if ever.

And if you buy the game on release, it usually won't go on promo for some time (especially if it's a new game as opposed to an old one they patched an installer on).

Also, be aware of weekend promos (don't buy games on Thursday), gem promos (never buy games on Tuesdays) and the Christmas sale (never buy games in November, except maybe as part of a promo).

Do all this and you will rarely (if ever) experience the disappointment you spoke of.

If it seems a mite complicated, then just accept that you'll get unlucky sometimes :P.

I also think that replying with personal insults is far below the level of discussion that this community is known for. And repeating the same dull insult 5 times isn't even particularly inventive.

It is good for you that you find her bitching entertaining. It went beyond that for me some time ago. And if you think what I wrote qualifies as some significant insult, you should see how she has lambasted me previously on these forums.

I am curious about something. I guess you missed her posts recently in this very thread where she was insulting others personally. Yet for some reason you did not deem it necessary to scold her. Me on the other hand, you do scold. Why is that? Scroll up and have a look at how pleasant she can be to others. See for yourself. Maybe then you can understand my lack of patience for her.

Not really. There's nothing wrong about feeling passionate about something, and even rants can be entertaining to read. And, even more important, she actually delivers factual arguments, and contributes to the discussion.

Your post, however, was just a very primitive attack with zero arguments.

At least as mature as failing to mind your own business when you are clearly unaware of the context precipitating the remarks. I'm sure it never occurred to you that it took some months for me to reach this point and I could have said far more than I did but I restrained myself. ;-)

I am sick of her bitching and ranted about it. Some rants you like and some you don't. That's fine. Just don't lecture me. She has a history of bitching and I am not the first to call her on it. Your disagreement is noted. We're done hopefully now.

There is no win or lose here. There was never any debate. Her behavior speaks for itself and so does mine. Make of it what you will. I cannot please everyone all of the time and I gave up trying a long time ago. ;-)

All arguments aside, it looks like it was a good idea for gog - starting to support Mac users as Theme Park & Simcity 2000 jumped to best sellers this week. And anyway the more people joins gog the better - after all, gog is aiming to be 2nd digital distributor of games. Way to go GOG Team!!

Theme Hostipal. The surge in popularity could be simply due to the fact that it's the first time TH is on sale.

I know I bought both Theme Hospital and Sim City 2000 because they were released for the Mac, along with some other new Mac titles. :D

Yeah, yeah but bear in mind the following 1. Steam has been around since 2003 and is estimated to hold the largest portion of the digital games market 2. Valve is now a fairly well off company so has more money and resources to devote to supporting a new OS 3. Steam supported MAC first then Linux and it took them how many years to finally get on board?
4. Steam's Linux support is still in closed private Beta so technically "no Steam is not really doing it yet" well outside of a closed testing environment which can last anywhere from months to years.

While GOG on the other hand 1. has only been around for four years and exited Beta back in 2010/2011(don't recall) 2. is still small but expanding, Besides it doesn't mean that there not considering looking at Linux support, it's just that between MAC and Linux, they feel MAC probably easier for them to support at this point sure you can argue if this is the case or not but ultimately they know what is beneficial to them and feasible for them to handle.

@DCT: Maybe gog should cooperate with Canonical. One goal for Ubuntu 13.04 is to become a better gaming platform. Ok, that would be kinda unfair for Fedora, Suse etc., but you have to start somewhere.
