Why, oh WHY, do you NOT put these new games on the 'coming soon' list?
I would DEFINITELY have waited for the gog version of Alan Wake, rather than getting it on steam when it came out.
Same thing happened with Chaser for me.

When you dont let us, the people who buy games from you, know that games are coming out on gog, we have no recourse but to get it elsewhere.

So, PLEASE, start letting us know what games will be coming up (and NOT 2-5 months AFTER they have come out on other media), so we can make a decision to hold out for a gog version or not.

In the end, you are just hurting your own sales by not letting us know.

gameon: I actually liked the surprise of alan wake (even if my wallet didn't, lol) I just had to buy it, as a spur of the moment limited half price thing.

If i knew all about it being released, i wouldn't have been so excited about getting it. But thats just me.
I would guess that this is exactly what GOG was aiming for ;-).The question remains if the "impulse sales" outweights the lost sales.

gameon: Looking at the sales list, Alan Wake is now above Soulbringer (which was added February 2012) in just one day its higher than a game thats been here for the last 3 months.
On this price... and this new... It is normal
Ya mudda.

You would have had the surprise when it would have been listed as "coming soon"
Coming soon, a 50% sale on Alan Wake.... (so don't buy it yet for more!)

Yeah, don't see publishers going for that one if they can help it ^^
Ummm, coming soon doesnt have to include the price.
Sigh

You would have the surprise but not the access to the purchase button. By the time you got that button you might think differently (definitely removes the possibility of an impulse purchase).
Announcements are so oldschool. Now we have ambush sales. Fly, my pretty euros, fly!

But most of the impulse sales are guaranteed sales no matter what, no :/ ?

The sad thing is we'll never know, will we :p ?

They may not have known until rather recently. You bought Alan Wake when it came out, they may not have even began attempting to get this game released on gog until a month ago. And then they may not have known it was going to be released until a week ago (obviously made up times). So even if they put it in a coming soon tab, you would have already bought it on Steam.

The only way to avoid this is going to be to stop buying things on Steam and waiting to see if they come out on gog.

A sales list? Is that a new feature? I can't seem to find it, could you provide me a link please?
