We want more of the GOG community to help contribute to our wiki. So we're going to hold a contest for free GOG games.

To enter: Post in this thread saying you're entering the contest.

Your task: Get to editing the wiki. Look at entries like Blood, Thief 2, and Ultima 4-6, to get an idea of what you should aim towards. Make our wiki a great reference site!

Prize: GOG games. ceemdee will choose the winners.
I do not enter, but bunping for others to see this :)

"Bun! Ping!"

:P
I'll enter and take a look at the wiki later tonight. :)
I've been looking over this wiki and while there are places where more info is needed I'm afraid there is not really any I can provide. While I do have a lot of games found on GOG I don't have the GOG versions. Postings about idiosycracies on the physical disk would not be in the scope of your wiki. If I happen to find somewhere that just happens to be lacking in an area where I have actual useful knowledge then I will definatley contribute.
Guess I'll have a look see, but couldn't you theoretically search these on wikipedia and copy paste things? Also I agree with the above that I can't really find much to change like I was going to add in the size of the game for some links but couldn't find where I was supposed to add it.

If you know of any unofficial mods/patches for any game, I do believe that can be freely posted within the Wiki.

Also, trivia about a game works as well...
I'll enter, though it must be strange on this day and age that I must say I never edit a Wiki before. So is there any guideline somewhere?

EDIT: On second thought, doubt I'll have enough information to contribute, so I guess I'll pass.

I've done a bit of GOGwiki editing in the past - does that mean I can enter for 'free' with my previous work counted retroactively?
Cheers

I'll enter. Should I post where I'm doing work?

I added info for all the games that have been removed and stuff! Surely I get a prize too! :p

Actually, don't enter me in this contest. I'm busy at another wiki but plan to go back and finish what I started once I'm done there.

I'll enter, but I think I've added what little knowledge I have. I'll look over things again though.
Did a bit of work on the WC: Privateer page, in addition to having added the instructions to install Righteous Fire way back when.

This isn't an encyclopedia. It's a reference. Troubleshooting, etc.

Mhmm I didn't mean all of the wikipedia page, just stuff that might fit such as adding onto the overview of the game
