Secondly, with that said, how about applying the logic you applied to eyeball to me. That is, I had the chance to lynch nmillar but chose not to, thus proving my innocence.

Really? Okay, let's go over this again. I'll give you my thought process this time:
Your post that eyeball pulled up was correct, there were 4 votes on nmillar, the latest one by Damnation at #247. One more was needed for the lynch.

This was followed by 8 posts - eyeball posted twice, actively convincing people to drop their votes. This is what I'm basing my view of his innocence on right now.

Post 527 - the same one eyeball pulled up:
2 of the 4 people who voted for him WOULD be mafia IF he didn't make an error with his count, but he did - specifically the part I highlighted. Not only did FoolalooF miss it, so did you.

Okay this is true. I'll give you that, still - eyeball gave me proof, and Damnation, well... his entire message history is proof enough for me. I also know I'm innocent. Therefore, like I said before, through the process of elimination, I'm almost certain it's you.

Ok, so we can believe gojays, who argues that because I didn't vote for nmillar and did vote for titanium that proves I am mafia. If we make certain assumptions this isn't such a bad theory.

Or, we could look at what I think is a more plausible theory, which says that gojays, because he did vote for nmillar and didn't vote for either gamerager or titanium, is more likely to be mafia.

Wow, ok. Last night I was actually suspecting Damnation but now it seems more likely that it's one of you two. I'm not sure about this at all but GoJays comes across a bit more suspicious, I think because the 'Dominic being inactive' thing is kind of flimsy. Besides, Dominic was the one who went and counted nmillar's votes up and posted them originally.

Alright... eyeball, it's NOT that Dominic was simply inactive - you can't base a case purely on that. It's the fact that not only was he inactive, but combined with the fact that YOU were active and trying to dissuade people when he had 4 votes - where you easily could have lynched him by voting for him. This means I can rule YOU out, I can rule myself out, and I'm about 90% sure I can rule Damnation out (if you're mafia, Damnation, you're good). Therefore through the process of elimination, I'm saying Dominic looks to be the one.

Now... of course only I know my own innocence, and have really no proof for the rest of you, so I guess you (eyeball and Damnation) will have to agree to vote either me or Dominic. But... I guess I'm going to have to vote Dominic998, and I assume Dominic will be voting for me when he gets a chance.

With that, I have to go to work, so I'll be back in about 9 to 10 hours to see what happened (Gah! Probably gonna miss all the excitement!).

And... I don't want this to be really serious, so just know that it's just a game, don't be afraid to vote for either one of us. It's been fun, maybe we'll do this again!

And I have no doubt you'd think it's one of us two. I realize I'm still on everyone's minds since yesterday and that I have no real proof I can think of to back me up.

What I said concerning Dominic also only makes complete sense to me because I know my own status as a townie. To you and Damnation, the only thing you can really gather from it is that I'm saying you're both innocent. You still don't know who's guilty between me and Dominic, but I just want you to know that the mafia is one of us two (at least I'm about 85% sure, and that's pretty good odds to me). The only thing you can do is use your own judgement... unless you pull out some other comment that exonerates one of us.

Also, I am slowly but surely starting to ponder a potential GOG Mafia #2 setup, but if someone else wants to try their hand at moderating a game, drop me a PM. That goes for anyone, whether they have played in this game or not - the only requirement I think we should set is that they have played at least 1 game, either on or off site.

It'd be kinda fun to get to play a game with all of you, after all. ^^ (Bet I'd die early :/)

Edit: If someone would like to host a game, but is put off by the thought of creating and balancing a setup, that can be worked around.
I can give some general pointers on how to make a simple setup, or we could play a semi-open game, where I create 4-5 different setups, the mod picks one of them to use, possibly applies some minor tweaks if they wants, and creates the flavour and setting.

Well, I might be interested in trying my hand at modding a game, but I'll not offer my services just yet ;)

Back to the game though. I'm still mostly convinced of GoJays. He's research does not sway me from suspecting eyeball, but has cast some doubt onto Dominic. Considering their reactions to each other, I think GoJays is the most defensive, though in a passive manner. My money is still on GoJays.

I don't think I'm being defensive here, I'm merely trying to explain my theory which unfortunately people aren't seem to be getting.

I'm pretty convinced eyeball is innocent though. What's your reasoning for him being guilty? Not voting for Titanium? I still think that his action of trying to dissuade people from lynching nmillar when he could easily have killed him carries a heavier weight than simply being overly cautious with Titanium.

I think we get what you are saying, we just don't necessarily find it convincing.

I am merely going to repeat what I said before, that gojays history shows him to be a more plausible candidate to be mafia. I think there is a bit of a tendancy to assume that the mafia are criminal masterminds who are constantly bluffing and double bluffing (and triple bluffing and so on into infinity), and all other sorts of brilliant ploys. So far, however, this has not really been shown to be the case (especially with gamerager, and to a lesser extent with Titanium and his 'nerd rage' superpowers).

Therefore I say to you, and to paraphrase Groucho Marx: He may look like a mafia and talk like a mafia but don't let that fool you. He really is a mafia.

Well I don't think I can win this one with everyone against me and no evidence. Can't really convince you guys too see what I see either. Oh well, it's just a game.

I knew I should have just voted myself yesterday... this is exactly what I feared would happen. But then again, I guess eyeball would be the next to go anyway, it's really a no-win situation for us.

Just vote for me and start a new game already. Well done Dominic (and Titanium, and GameRager), voting for Titanium really saved you there.
