I'm kinda starting to wonder if we should have a sticky thread describing how to behave in case of a virus/malware warning, since it's rarely GOG's fault when stuff like this happens.
Because I kinda can see why fr33kSh0w2012 could get downrepped for this, there are probably just some users who dislike overreacting, especially when the issue is known and is determined to be something on the user side. Since I have previously encountered similar issues thanks to the interesting priorities of my AV software, I think it could be helpful to avoid such incidents by posting some sort of a guide regarding what a user should do if he/she runs into this sort of a problem. Might be overkill, but after all, a lot of forums have a section about the site/forum itself, with basic or important information...
Regarding saving the pictures from the shelf - I did that before, with Firefox: saved the shelf page to my harddrive (File -> Save as...), then grabbed the pictures from the attached folder. Dunno how it works in other browsers.

Better yet I'd go back to high school.

for the OP; you should run an anti-malware tool in safe mode , because some malware stays hidden in normal mode.
try those tools
roguekiller ->
http://tigzy.geekstogo.com/roguekiller.php
adwcleaner ->
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
running both won't hurt.
do a complete scan in safe mode with the kaspersky rescue disk utilty if not enough.
http://support.kaspersky.com/4162
after that , i have no idea , except something left and stay hidden and should be removed , in safe mode.

Did you read the bleepingcomputer guide that i posted before? It takes more than just a malware removal or virus scanner to remove all the hijacker's trace.
