I was wondering why GOG naming of some games are not consistent with the original naming. I will give you examples from my own list of purchased games:
GOG: Earthworm Jim 1 + 2
Original name: Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 - The Whole Can 'O Worm
GOG: Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon
Original name: Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon
GOG: Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror
Original name: Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror
I wish GOG to keep the original name of the game, or maybe give me a reasonable explanation why they changed the name for some games.

The only remotely valid one is EWJ, as it is a real change.
Broken Sword 3, they chose to add the 3 on there so people less familiar with the series know it's the third.
Broken Sword 2, WOW they changed from II to 2. It's still "two" just a different format.
I really cant see any noticeable difference.
This is outrageous!
This is an affront to awesome powers of the ancient art of placing the correct usage of the words used to name the pieces of software used on an electronic device containing microprocessors and circuit boards and hard drives that to this day have normally been storing data using magnetism and some crap I've forgotten and will now probably replaced for solid state discs that is a lot faster so you can play with the already mentioned pieces of software called games faster which are played while watching the screen and using peripherals such as a mouse and a keyboard and gamepad and a joystick and holy crap I think I need some punctuation here but I cannot be bothered and I have anyway long forgotten what the hell I am talking about so good night.
Wait, what?

Except Earthworm Jim (and maybe others ? ), I admit that for Broken Sword games the changes are minor and for some people irrelevant. But the funny thing is that GOG so not use an unique name, changed or not, in all the naming of games items (installer, bonus content, etc). You can see in the screenshots. I don't know why is so hard to keep an unique name through out the complete naming process. If one is born with a name, don't changed it :)

You're being like that one bitchy girl that nobody likes complaining about the most mundane thing ever.

What ever you say donorpuffy... I mean horrorchubby... oh I'm sorry pornoduffy.
This thread is another example of why moderators might not be such a bad thing. :|
I find this thread to be full of deep and intelligent discussion.
Please, carry on.
We can be grateful to chubby aka honorbuddy for bringing the level of discussion to a level deeper than Mariana Trench and more intelligent than Einstein equations. :)
This is my last sarcastisc remark... from now on I will answer only to normal (aka not moron) people / comments. :)
Seriously? Complaining about the semantics of the labels they put on the games? Aren't there more important things in the world to worry about, like what you might watch on TV tonight?

I don't watch TV tonight.... I play GOG games instead :)
I honestly couldn't give a rat's ass about a difference between a 2 and a II. Seriously, if you're riled up about such a trivial matter, you should probably stay at home more. Or at least, don't tell the Internet about it. Usually we mock you in private.
Oh and honorbuddy, that's exactly what I though when I read this thread.

Ishar games, also.
Um, I don't mind, though. I guess it'd be nice, but um, the games themselves are far more important to me.
