WhiteElk: Johnny B Goode!
avatar
stoicsentry: White Elk got it!

Congrats!

Send me a PM with a 5.99 game of your choice.

Aw, totally tough breaks for Ice with my inability to credit him on that last one and the category here. I'm sorry man!!! (At least you get to pick the category next time out, though that's obviously no consolation :( )
But you said no H !

Rodzaju: I thought he said no H

icepowdah: yep ... johhny was lost a long time ago :)
Oh god help me, did that happen? FML.

This contest took way too long and I'm winded.

Hell with it, you both get third. My bad all around. :(

Each send me a 5.99 game choice!

LOL I'm so sorry. This round totally tired me out, we're going to need major revisions after this beta.

Anyway, Elk and Ice both get 3rd.
I was going to guess if letter H had been said to be correct.
Yeey! Great contest all together Stoic!

And congrats to all the winners and participants ! *safely storing my participation point*

Thanks, but I'm definitely going to have to work on speeding it up.

The "chaos" factor was lost, but with that, it kinda came to a grinding halt and it was a bit tedious.

So I'll revise everything.

In the mean time, elk and ice send me your 5.99 wishes, the other winners, you know the deal, and everyone gets a participation point (it's gonna be useful eventually I think).
This was awesome fun man. Thanks for everything!

Though doing this on the forums was rather tough huh? What are you thinking about future events?
Ahh cool. Congrats Ice. You've earned it! And congrats all!

I'd be very happy to finally get Master of Magic! It's been number one on my "to get a GOG" list from day one. And in my overall top 5 list for some time now. Thanks for the enjoyment Stoic, and thanks for gifting me the means to finally Master of Magic!
See ice? You both won! Music was the best category to choose! :P

That was like a decent movie, fun with a twist at the end. Thanks again stoic (especially since my birthday started ~25 minutes ago, that's the fastest b-day gift ever ;]) and congrats to all the winners! See ya next round!

Guess so :D. Happy birthday!
Talking of b'days, I've got an idea for mine.
In my office, it's traditional to bring cakes for everyone else on your b'day.
Always struck me as back assward ;p
I always book my b'day off, so I never have!
Anyway, throughout this year, I've been gifted way more games than I could ever have expected (both through contests & just plain generosity).
I'm planning to give away GOGs instead.
2 options:
A) I offer each of the games I've received.
B) I total up the cost & offer this amount in games.

A would exclude anyone who doesn't want that particular game.
B risks the first few people opting for TW2 or other high cost games, reducing the overall number of giftees.

Opinions?
I really like the yes/no contests. Though with only two chances it feels more like guessing than clue hunting. But just two questions does speed things up.

I like the fill in the blanks also. After some eliminations I began feeling confident that the one letter word was B. But I didn't want to give it away to my opponent if correct. You ask a letter and then your opponent gets the benefit of making the first guess with the new clue. So you gotta be careful.

Fun stuff!

WhiteElk: *snip*
I was looking for johnny's something ... so goode is actually a word? or some archaic form .. or street form or smth like that ...

Rodzaju: *snip*
I would say option C .. total up the costs and devise an hierarchical scheme with 9.99 and 5.99 games similar to this contest... would reach more ppl than gifting a TW2 and will also give a winner access to a game like planescape .. or sanitarium of his choice
