Hopefully you have managed to refill your "gaming change bank" to take advantage of our next round of incredible deals.

Starting from tomorrow we'll be offering special one-day promos on some of GOG.com's "hidden" gems. These quick promos will be made in a similar way to our usual "GOG.com Gems Promo" that we've been running for some time now. Just like the Wednesday promos, we're going to highlight some of the lesser known classics in our catalogue. With this newspost we're giving you a heads-up that you should check back GOG.com every day until 25th of July. We'll be offering all of the hidden gems of this promo for sale at 60% off, so keep your eyes peeled so you don't miss out on a great deal for a game you've been waiting to buy for months. The first "Summer Hidden Gem" will be revealed tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. EDT (10:00 a.m. GMT)! Be there or be square! ;)
This sale has been great , it really has introduced me to some gems that I would have probably never known about if it was not for this promotion. Thank you GOG!
So now I'm wanting more and I find myself scanning through the catalog and reviews for what I'd like to see come up next. Two games have caught my eye and hopefully they will be a part of this promotion.

The Last Express
Original War
So I have an odd request for GOG. Could you please have one of your remaining Gems be a game whose title starts somewhere between Teen Agent and Tyrian? I organize my shelf alphabetically and don't like seeing those two next to each other.

Put them on the opposite sides of shelf with three free slots in-between? ;)

Unfortunately I can't play three free slots (I'm actually trying to build a backlog). Looking at what's available, I'd probably be happy with any of those games except for the Tex Murphy series.

DrIstvaan: Looks like your hope didn't come true...

SLP2000: Yeah, but we all knew this was coming.
Let's hope that they'll consider PS:T hidden as well.

On the other hand, I really hope that the Tex Murphy games go on sale. It seems to me that many people here haven't played them yet. Sacrilege.

I bet we will see Two Worlds on sale soon. That will fulfill your needs.

Unfortunately there will not be Battle Isle Platinum pack as I hoped. :(
I wish I had bought Knights and Merchants when I had the chance, because so far it's the only game that's been on sale that I've been interested in.
That's it?

Call me unappreciative if you want, but the original Summer Hidden Gems advertisement hinted at the Baldur's Gate series. I held off purchasing them through Amazon so I could give GOG my money, instead they never appeared.

I'm sure there were many happy customers with the games that were offered under the promo, but damn, way to be misleading.

Baldur's Gate, really? I did not see anything that hinted at these games. Could you explain what made you think they would be on sale?
I guess the problem with a catalog this large is that there will always be someone who feels left out. Plus, depending on how large your collection is, there may not be as many games that appeal to some (or they may already own them). I wound up buying several, and found the promo to offer a nice blend of genres, and was surprised that they weren't all ancient games.
But then, I missed the original promo and the first few days.

In any case, I'm definitely looking forward to the next big event! Thanks, GoG!!

First summer gem promo:
As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it’s easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. We’ve been running one day “Gaming Gem” promos for a while now to highlight some classic titles that don’t get the love of some of our best-known blockbusters like Baldur’s Gate or Duke Nukem 3D. To celebrate summer, for the next two weeks until July 25th, we’re going to run a Gaming Gem promo every day, so you can rediscover these lesser-known classics! Grab that plastic toy shovel and dig out gem after gem over the next 18 days. We think every game we’re going to be offering on our Summer GOG.com Gem Extravaganza will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.
For me that was a suggestion that BG will NOT appear on summer promo 100% sure.

I bought everything I didn't have. Just because they were cheap. I find -60% discounts irresistible!

Me too, except for the pinball game, since I knew I'd never play that one. I haven't played any adventure games in a while but they're worth a shot.

Exactly. They couldn't have said more explicitly that Baldur's Gate would not be part of the promo. GOG does use misleading advertisement occasionally, but not in this case.

Edit: I can't get these nested quotes right, dangit.

I missed out on In Cold Blood. I forgot about it. :(
