acare84: Space Rangers 2 and Kings Bounty are sooo difficult on even an easy mode. Russian game makers can't balance the difficulty.

JudasIscariot: What was difficult about Space Rangers 2?? Just asking because my experience was quite different on normal...

They destroy my ship quickly and when I am in fight they can repair ships frequently and this is annoying me.
I easily died 7 times on the very first mission in STALKER, but I never got angry, I was just fascinated by it all. And it just keeps getting better.

Barelyhomosapien: Now I come to think of it, there was a puzzle in Phantom Hourglass on the DS that drove me nuts. I had to look it up in the end and turned out you had to shut your DS and open it again to solve it.

Aliasalpha: I can't decide if I like those type of things or hate them, the bit in metal gear solid here you had to plug the controller into a different port to beat a boss was simultaneously interesting and annoying

Agreed. There's equal elements of 'Well that was neat' and 'How the hell was I meant to figure that out?'

acare84: Yeah that got annoying. I just ran away and scanned any potential bounties before going after them. The key to that game is to stay in your first system for a while and just trade and do little jobs until you get a better ship and weapons then you go after the bounties and what not. I would seriously recommend trying that game again if you have given up on it because it is very fun once you get past the initial hurdles.

Colony 28, in one place you need to run and jump to left, but in that time I haven't known about remaping keys. But the funny part, run was on shift, jump on space and arrow left was left....
Do you know that if you press two keys, you cannot use as third key arrow left ? it just do not react :) I have tried 5 keyboard, I have even bought multiple reductions just to try another input port and finaly make the jump.
I never jumped over :-D maybe i will find this game and jump finaly

Ohh yes, that has been bugging me for more than a decade. I've always been an arrow key kinda guy, never use WASD because everything around the cursors on a normal keyboard is ideally set up for everythign I use but when I need 3 keys at once, I basically have to remap something to the mouse
Going back a loong time, the original Ikari Warriors for NES/Famicom. For those who don't know it was a quite well-known (20 years ago) vertical-scrolling shmup of the not-quite bullet-hell variety where each player controls a soldier (on foot) who dies after a single hit and gets only 10 bullets.
Nothing. Seriously, nothing, not even The Another World. With exception of... Dun dun dun dun dun: Devil May Cry 3 on PC! I was going nuts over it's boss battles

I loved Ikari Warriors! It was a one man real time Jagged Alliance....sort of.

Made me think of sunset riders on the SNES. I loved that game but sometimes...graaah smash!
ikari warriors also had a funky arcade stick I seem to recall, it had a twist action you could use for aiming more accurately

What controller did you use? All of my controllers are either incompatible, have too few buttons, or the analog sticks are switched. : (
And while I'm here I might as well mention Battletoads (the lava level), Ikaruga (the later levels), and Jet Force Gemini (just the moment you realize you had to get ALL of the Tribals and the damn near impossible final boss fight).

The 'keyboard' one :D Yeah, I'm crazy :D
I heard Wizardy IV: The Return of Werdna was an "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGH" inducing game. Is that true?
