lowyhong: Well you learn something new everyday.
On the topic of legitimacy, does anyone have any idea what could be the worst case legal implications, assuming it is, well, illegal? I've also registered it to my Steamy, but it just feels weird for them to give away a game like that, when there's no official announcement to it

Damn it, gimme your Steam profile link.

It's cool down later. The master server probably wasn't good enough to handle such a sudden amount of users trying to get in.
It looks like they have a whole page full of games with serial numbers.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced that this isn't legit.
*EDIT*
The site seems to be legit. Disregard.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced that this isn't legit.

It seems to be a games magazine, so... legit with the publishers handing out free keys, possibly because the discs were defective or something. It's like a clearout sale.

It also looks like the other game codes are invalid, so that may be the case.

You mean you tried the other codes in Steam? Don't forget that most games cannot be activated in Steam.

People are reporting it in this thread.
So yeah, the Speedball code is the only one that works.

And then people will play it, only to realize it was completely different to what they expected.
I'd love to have had a free key for Speedball, but then again it would be on steam; which blows. Was it ever available outside of Steam's cage?

I've seen a few retail copies here in Norway, but dunno if they use Steam or not.
They didn't run of keys, they just noticed the huge flaw in their system. That pretty much anyone could get the keys. No only users of their forum can.
