Yes, some of the games by Apogee were published by Softdisk such as Kroz and the game that became Paganitzu. The only game that Apogee did for Softdisk under contract was George Broussard's "Scubadventure" (not on that Apogee page) so that ID could do Wolfenstein 3D.
So I'm guessing that whatever contract that Softdisk did for the other games was probably something akin to first worldwide publication rights for a certain amount of time. Apogee obviously retained the rights to the games, except for Scubaventure, so really, to my understanding, Softdisk has no claim over any of the games listed there whatsoever.
I might be missing something somewhere, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

Just an update, I just heard back and the original Catacombs game should now be included in the zip file the way that it was intended for those buying the complete series.
I should be getting my copy probably tomorrow as I'm sure it's after business hours in the US now.

Given how obscure the game is, it wouldn't surprise me if I was the first one to notice it.

I'm a big fan of Wolf3D. I've done some modding for it in the past. Even made an editor for it and from there I expanded it to work with the other similar games, like the Keen 4-6, Catacomb 3D games up to Blake Stone, Operation Bodycount and Corridor 7. That's how I came to know the games.
I've been watching for places to grab them over the years. I actually asked Flat Rock if they considered selling the games here a few months back. I'm excited that this might possibly happen.
I've kind of been restricting my digital game purchases to GOG, so if they come here they would definitely have at least my sale. :D

Bump for those interested. Since it's somewhat related, and I'm curious if anyone else knew about it.
I found what looks like a halloween theme'd Hovertank. It's called Demon Hunter.

I can't find much info on it, honestly not much changed, but I'm still blown away that I've never seen it until now.

That's probably the first Hovertank mod ever released. I worked on one that incorporated Blake Stone graphics and sounds into the game, but never released it.
Both use the editor I made for it. You can change the graphics, sounds, and maps for the game. The intermission text is inside the EXE, if I remember correctly.
It's on ModDB, too.
