Why am I curiously attracted to watching the timer go up and down...almost like watching a roller coaster...hmm, need to stop watching!

~Interesting, you can only affect the timer by one second and then the option to +/- is deleted~

weird green pulses every time the timer goes up...

Ok, I'm seriously going to play a game now ;-)

mondo84: KQ 1-3 was up for [0:38]
Wow, quite the drubbing on that one. Perhaps GOG was right to initially allocated 90 minutes. :)

IAmSinistar: Like I said, they have a lot of leeway with game sets, since they span a number of years. The video was fairly explicit that Zork-Ultima-King's Quest would be the initial run, so it's not really any cleverness on my part. :)

If you want to stopwatch it, I'll be glad to add the figures afterwards. :D

(Perhaps GOG can give us the final numbers from their end, assuming their system is capturing the actual spans.)

yyahoo: 1:40 for Zork
55 for Ultima 123
I missed zork, aww. Sometimes I hate being in this time zone. I think that probably happened before I got up.

I think we should be allowed to click the buttons more than one time for each game (like, after a minute or so)... would be more interactive...

also, choose whether you wanna increase or decrease the timer when buying...

ZPavelZ: Some assumption concerning the future titles

?1984? - Ultima
?1985? - King's Quest
1995 - SimCity 2000
1999 - Rayman Forever
2011 - Unepic
2012 - Legend of Grimrock
2013 - Spelunky
Welcome back. Been like 2 years since I last saw your post here.

Now that would be cool. A kind of "I got mine, screw the rest of you" option. I bet that would light a fire under buyers if they knew that every purchase could make it disappear before they get it.

EDIT: typo

I am pretty sure that 1998 or 1999 is going to be Baldur's Gate - It is the defining RPG of the genre. I would have said Fallout for 1997, but GOG.com can't distribute that any more...

I'd go with Myst for 1993, Syndicate Plus for 1996, Dungeon Keeper for 1997, Total Annihilation for 1998, Deus Ex for 2000, and Evil genius for 2004.

These are just some of the biggest games I recall from my past 30 years, and the dates may be off by a year or two, and it depends if they are celebrating when the game came out, or when the expansions we done. Lots of leeway, either way!

No, it would only lead to abuse.

The mandatory increase is meant as a way of confirming a game's popularity. What would the decrease stand for?

Or just an "I got mine, now I wanna see what's next" option...

I think it would make things a little bit more interesting...

Grobles87: I just wanted to acknowledge that this is the best sale I've seen anywhere ever . It is a lot of fun seeing those seconds stack up and know that it is from people buying the game. Also, I saw the trailer for this sale and it was simply EPIC. I just want to congratulate GOG for their creativity and really hope they sell a lot of copies of each and every game in this sale. You have my thanks, my admiration and money from my wallet!
I second this. There have been some really fun sales here.

But it would essentially sent the message IAmSinistar said (I got mine, screw the rest of you) and I don't think that's ok. Not to mention that it'd lead to even more complaints than during the fast selling games in the Insomnia Sale - and rightly so given that in this case the "scarcity"/ limited chance would be user/ customer induced.

That better happen.I'd buy Evil Genius in a heartbeat

Looks like we're stuck in 1986. Not a bad year, but let's get this ball rolling GOG

Yeah, maybe.. but we are talking about options, some would increase and some decrease (mostly would decrease, I guess)
and only GOG knows how many times the sale will be repeated...
perhaps something like +5 or -3...
