A friend of mine actually tested Deus Ex; one day Warren Spector was watching over his shoulder as my friend killed everyone in the first level.

"Stop killing everybody!" said Warren.

"Well then, stop leaving presents on their bodies!" retorted my friend.

This is why, in the first level of Deus Ex, killing an enemy will net you about two bullets.
NOOOOOO! I slept through Carmeggon! What ever shall I do? Oh, wait, I know... I'll play through my backlog until it is on sale again. That has to happen before 2040, which is when I expect I'll be finished with my backlog ;)
Oh geez come on guys stop punching Deus Ex. Everyone has that game. I'll have to go to sleep before we finally get to the interesting stuff.
So, it's been over 2 hours since I posted Deus Ex had over 2 hours to go on the timer, and it's not even down to 90 minutes yet?

DAFUQ, GOGers?! DAFUQ?!

STOBBIT!!

Same problem here - but maybe if you go to sleep now, Deus Ex will be still on display when you wake up :-D

it went down to 1:29:00, then BAM! back to 1:30+...... it's the sale that never ends, it goes on and on my friends...
I am wondering if I should buy it too. I already have it on CD, but it's Deus Ex.
Looks like DX just finally dipped below the starting time of 1h30min. So, about 2 hours to go in real time then?

That's very optimistic... it could easily stay at 1:30 for those 2 hours... (and more)

(on a sidenote, DX just made it to the top of the Top Sellers list... and the sale is far from over. I wonder who's going to push it off its #1 spot...)

I think I have two CD copies of it, one I purchased new in box, the other I got as part of some greatest hits bundle as I recall, though I no longer can find that one, boxed up in the garage probably. I picked up a copy of it here back on the Insomnia sale, but was considering getting another one or two GOG copies for gifts...
Fuck me sideways. Clock just jumped from 1:16:xx to 1:23:xx

O_o!
Speaking of DX, anyone who has the GOG version, what quality/bitrate is the soundtrack?
DX going 4 hours strong.

ZPavelZ: Some assumption concerning the future titles

?1984? - Ultima
?1985? - King's Quest
1995 - SimCity 2000
1999 - Rayman Forever
2011 - Unepic
2012 - Legend of Grimrock
2013 - Spelunky
Prophet. Haha.

All of the music in Deus Ex was done in tracker format, so there's no change in soundtrack quality between the versions. If you've got a decent music player, you can play the sound files directly.
