The interesting thing about Deus Ex is the amount of people who haven't bought it yet. I'd have thought having Deus Ex in your library would be almost a requirement on GOG... ;-)

I think this is happening. But in what scenario would hundreds of copies of Deus Ex be useful? Sometime during the Apocalypse, maybe.

personally I probably liked Deus Ex a little more, I like the different routes you could take, not sure if its OBJECTIVELY better though - they're both awesome!

I'm not sure there is much gaming of the timer going on. Either someone would need to have coordinated a huge fan push, or they've worked out an exploit. I think the second is the more practical of the two, but probably still not what is happening. I just think it's selling like mad. It did the same in the Insomnia sale, to equal disbelief. :)

I didn't have it, either. I only bought it because you guys have been praising it like crazy (and the timer worked in its favor, too).

So... with all the SS2 love going on around here, has anyone played the first game? I remember back in 1994 everyone was playing Doom 2, when I stumbled across this gem of a game called System Shock. I was spoilt for life.
