It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

ChrisSD: Do you use Firefox? I think there was a bug in GOG's javascript that affected Firefox users until they fixed it.
Aye, Firefox here. Thanks for the info. And I was able to confirm that my tablet browser (Dolphin) wasn't handling the callback properly, but just running the clock down from the last refresh. Not a critical problem, since I'm monitoring this sale from PC most of the time.
17:23 GMT: 1999: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver -75% $1.49

Rayman lasted 1:44 (1:45 if you include the seconds between Rayman ending and LoK starting)

I'm actually on Pale Moon, which is a Windows Firefox fork, so it's possible that I suffered from the bug you mention - anything's better than my eyesight suffering ;-P
Rayman Forever for [1:45]
I'm honestly surprised at this choice for 1999. So many other great games for 1999 but this game definetely has its spot. Dark and gritty. Nothing like revenge for Raziel.

HypersomniacLive: It started showing for me only today as well. Glad I'm not the only one, for a moment I wondered if my eyesight was deteriorating so badly that I somehow managed to completely not spot it before :-)

Same here. :p Firefox FTW! :D
Soul Reaver is a decent choice if only for being the first game to introduce (or at least popularise) the "shift between worlds" play mechanic. That blew us away when we first experienced it back in the day.

My pleasure, oh maple-leaf mammoth!

EDIT: And bought. Second one I've picked up from the sale (other was Rayman). I'll be even more happy if both co-operate natively with an Xbox controller.

Maple-leaf Mammoth!! I like it!!
So next up (2000) will be Deus Ex... I guess that will be up there for a couple of hours...
'99 was a pretty stacked year for games. This must have been a tough decision.

It will test whether hours can be added to the start time, if the Insomnia sale was any gauge. Expect to have plenty of time for other things when this hits.
I'm very surprised that System Shock 2 wasn't chosen for 1999.

If you use the latest version, then it's more like using Chrome than Firefox - that's why I switched to Pale Moon after Firefox 17.

It needed a break from the Insomnia Sale ;-P
