Well, didn't expect Cannon Fodder. Actually, didn't even know it was on GOG.

I had never even heard of Cannon Fodder, so at least I was surprised, but 1993 had some much more popular GOG games (Myst, Master of Orion, 7th Guest, Syndicate, Gabriel Knight, Return to Zork)

1994-1995 is an era that's sadly not represented well on GOG (the first Elder Scrolls, Warcraft, System Shock, Tie Fighter, X-Com: UFO Defense, Dark Forces, Command & Conquer, MechWarrior 2), so I'm interested to see what they offer.

Maybe Master of Magic for 1994 :)

Rixxb: Maybe Master of Magic for 1994 :)
Probably a good guess. King's Quest 7 and Wing Commander 3 were also that year, but they already offered games from those series. I'm guessing Descent 1+2 for either 1995 or 1996.
Ugh, this is almost as futile as watching grass grow... Good idea, bad implementation. Again. I mean I love you GOG but you gotta run some tests on these deals before you throw them out into the water. At least find out if they float first ;-)

Personally, I love the concept but the time-frame is just too long. If experience serves, then you'll be doing a round two for those that missed round one - also a good idea. But perhaps this might work better on a shorter time-carousel as some have suggested - all offers over the course of a couple of hours. Even if a person joins it mid-way through, they can stay to catch-up or catch-up later in the day when they have more time. But the current implementation feels very Keanesian ;-p
This is bad. At this rate were going to go right through the years I'm most interested in while I'm asleep. Why is each year set to such a long time. I want to see a sale for the years, not experience years of sales.

Momo1991:
Imho it would've been more interesting to do this in weekends. And shorter timeframe. During the week I cannot stay awake all night to watch the promos. In a way I'm glad that I've missed only 3-4 promos while asleep.
I got a couple hours sleep each during Might and Magic, and Sim City. Still pretty tired at this point. Less stressful and less exciting then Insomnia sale, but they tried something. I was bored with little interesting going on in day to day GOG life. Found this interesting to start, but figure chances are slim that anything really interesting for me is going on sale. If the down voting could have keep things moving at a brisker pace it would have been more interesting. Maybe they were trying to give us another Keane moment but nothing has sparked such an event yet as far as I know.
Why´s eveyone whining...........this is the Time Machine atfer all, we can go back in time and review the ones we miss.

Now, who´s got the ruby that powers the machine? You scoundrels :P

I doubt Myst was more popular for the year as it was only on Mac in 1993 and regardless of popularity, and as a massive adventure fan, I would still say that Cannon Fodder is a more important game game for the year than any you mention. It is also unquestionably better known than those games, at least here anyway.
Jagged Alliance. Now that is a good purchase for that price. Finally :-)
Im looking forward to buying Baldur's Gate 2 so badly.... I can't spend the 10 bucks right now but for 2.50 I could get it!!! Pleaseee put it out on sale, ppplleassee!!!

EDIT: I do have to ask, why do a lot of games I know for a fact have been released in several languages, happen to be only in english nowadays if you want to buy them? I distinctly remember playing BG2 on a friends house like a decade ago and it was in spanish, and now I see GOG is only selling it in english :(. I still want to buy it lol, but I kind of hoped to have multilanguage options.

I always find it fascinating which games are "big" in different regions; knowing there are gamers around the world, and that some games are enormous hits in certain nations while nearly unknown elsewhere. I'd say Cannon Fodder is almost completely unknown here - I've certainly never played it - while the other games listed were huge hits and many would still appear on all-time "best of" lists.
This is a useless/senseless promo.
I mean, ok if they would run it during a weekend were most could wait and waste their time.
But hey, there are some of us working with the need for speed ehh sleep.

There will be reasons why it only has English (if it is going to only have one language for some reason it is going to be English for obvious reasons) but you would have to ask Gog. There is a mod for other languages though and I think it has Spanish.
