You want to have a sale, GOG? Respect your customers and have a normal sale! This Time Machine crap is worse than Insomnia. Now every game is taking hours. Who, I ask, who has time for this crap!? There are games I want to buy, but I refuse to waste any more of my time participating in these stupid contrivances.

First Insomnia, now this. Congratulations, GOG, you've burned through ALL of my goodwill towards you.

FreddieFiasco: I wish they'd just put all these games up for sale like any normal kind of sale, since I'll probably end up being asleep during the great 90s sales. I get that this is a different type of sale entirely, but I'm not a fan of staring at Sim City for five days while people keep upvoting it.

Yeah, I think I may have missed all the games I was interested in because they happened before I got up this morning. And I don't exactly sleep late.

Also WTF with Simcity 2k being for 1989. I realize that we don't have the original here, but it's a game that was published in the '90s about 2000.
SimCity is at [3:13] right now, poised to beat M&M's [3:22] period.

thme: I wonder what's coming up for the 1990's?
Quite possibly Wizardry 6&7.

It would be ok if you can only upvote a game by buying it. The button to upvote it for 1 second doesn't really make sense. People who want the game buy it and upvote it automatically, while people who are not interested in it usually downvote it to get to the next game in sale as fast as possible. So upvoting a game without buying it is only trolling by artificially streching the time period until the next game will appear.

I look forward to seeing more Wizardry and Might and Magic coming up.
Less than a minute!

Clearly you can see the future. :)
You're off to see the Wizard!

I love GOG, and these sales are nothing but great for consumers. I'm replying to this only because you bounced off of my comment to make your own, and though I respect your right to have an opinion, I have to defend GOG in the face of your overly harsh reactions. It's a couple sales you missed. Get over it. As you saw, I don't like it either, but they also have great traditional sales. Trying something different doesn't make them villains, and thinking it does makes you look far, far more villainous. Carry on the good work, GOG.

@Silverhawk, I agree completely. The upvote seems completely illogical. It has no point aside from offsetting downvotes.

I would prefer a set time for each year. Life is busy enough without having to keep checking something as silly as this, but I do appreciate GOG and the huge library of games I've bought here at good prices.
Ultimately I believe this sale is another GOG outreach effort to bring in new customers, rather than appease the existing ones. Many of us likely already have these classic titles, but they are superb games to draw new folks to the site, especially at these giveaway prices. Sure, I'd love to clean out my wishlist for a song, but I'm not who they are after with this particular promotion. It's to bring new blood to GOG, and if it works, that's better for us all in the long run.
I'm going to bed. Someone wake me up if Wasteland shows up. :P
The only game I missed is Police Quest. I'm not into the rest. Sigh... at least it not the game I really eye on.

It's already here. We call it Detroit.
