Pretty much sums the game up really.

orcishgamer: Because wookiepedia is the first reference for said term on Google and I didn't know who the fuck it was either?

Snickersnack: Really? In that case, let me recommend KoTOR to any fans of Bioware style RPGs who may have missed it. You don't need to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy it and Lucas had nothing to do with it. It was designed with the Xbox in mind but if DA2 was more like it I doubt there would have been anywhere near as much bitching on the interwebs.
I know this isn't gonna go down well, but I hated KotOR, absolutely despised it. Dunno why, but I had to force myself to play it and can never finish it, and worst of all I can't even see why people like it other than it's Star Wars, which is weird for me as I can normally see why someone else might still like it. Even when hating the DA2 demo I could see how some people might like it, hell even GTA 3 I understand why people like it while being bored out of my head, but KotOR? I just don't see it...

Not attacking it or saying that others shouldn't try it, obviously by all the love it gets there must be something there, I just can't see it. I just despise the characters, the plot, even the goddam interface is just horrendous to me, it's like my kryptonite, a kryptonite that I just didn't see coming when I first bought it...

Nah, I've hit a brick wall with games that everyone else loves, just like that.

Then weirdly I end up liking stuff like Clive Barker's Jericho and The Force Unleashed, which are mediocre at best.

Noticed that its gone down to £18 quid on 360 and £12 on PC already which is usually a bad sign, I did enjoy the first one, Is it worth aquiring or just simply nowhere near as good as the first one was.

Don't bother, unless you're inclined to get high blood pressure

High blood pressure? It's not that bad game, don't scare the little one :)

But then again, it's only my opinion. I enjoyed it very much :)

Edit. But it's not as good as Origins

And yes, it's horrible. :D
Most likely old news for you, but here's an interview with David Gaider about DA2..

OMG EPIC NEW DLC: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/260/index/7215354
I bought it O.O
And now we see why there is no modding toolset. Pathetic.

I saw it coming. ME2 sells half a dozen alt appearance and weapon packs, only natural they wanted the same for DA.
