I agree. Although, isn't that pretty much what Microsoft are doing with Xbox One? :P

Also, keep in mind that if BlueMooner joins, his code segment will invariably be invalid. So, generally, I think people joining mid-game is a bad idea.

While we're on the topic - I propose that when someone is voted out of the game, their code segment becomes public domain (as well as its validity).
