What are the chances of Diablo 1 appearing here?
I wanted to play this game so badly, but they don't even sell in battle chest anymore. ):
Probably none with blizzards extramarital affair with DRM.
I don't see it in any foreseeable future. The back catalog of Blizzard would be amazing but... they have an iron grip on in :(
Just about zero.

Blizzard recently added the possibility to download Blackthorne off Battle.net, so perhaps they will some day continue to add their classics.

Zero because Blizzard won't let anyone else sell their games, not even Steam.

Blackthorne was released as a DRM-free download on Battle.net though...

That's not their precious diablo however.
This is a company that doesn't sell games but rather sells you permission to go on their web page using their servers to play a game and then to add insult to injury charges you even more to acquire the gear you need to be any good at the game.

Actually, all their old games are available DRM-free on Battle.net (Diablo II, Warcraft III, StarCraft, Blackthorne). DRM is not the problem, it's that Blizzard wants total control over their distribution.
That should be painted on the front page : gog- the blizzardly no-man's-land

Ah. Okay, I got tired of most of blizzards stuff after diablo 2.
Anyone knows why they don't sell Diablo 1 any more?

Now THAT I'd like to know. I lost my disc years ago and wouldn't mind spending a few bucks to get another one. I suppose I might find it used but that's always risky, especially with a game that popular.

Compatibility issues I suppose (although my copy works perfectly out of the box on Windows 7).

As they say, "when Hell freezes over". ;)
