Cormoran: One thing about the article itself, what's with all the quotes? Does gamespot disagree that the boss battles were overhauled, that the game balanced was redefined and the AI was improved? Or does this "guy" just "enjoy" adding "quotes" to everything he "types"?

_Bruce_: They is quoting a promise, the game isn't even out on Wii U yet so we don't know what they have actually done. I think it is fair enough.
ahhh, okay. I don't own a wiiu and don't keep up with it, the impression i got from forum whining on the deus ex boards was that it had been out for months and that squeenix and nintendo were being evil and hoarding it on their "fuckU".

That'll teach me to listen to forum whining. :P

It's the other way around. This 'exclusive' doesn't even have a confirmed release date and is already announced to be not-so-exclusive.

StingingVelvet: I would guess it will be a normal priced game, like $29.99, but owners of the previous version will get a massive discount on Steam. Maybe making it like $10.

Just a guess.
I hope you're right.

Neobr10: I hope you're right.
They do that stuff relatively often, like with STALKER: CoP and Doom 3's re-release. I think it's pretty likely.
That could be complicated by the DLC unless you pay the same whether you had the DLC or not.

Then again, this is Squeenix, who's known for repackaging games as "Director's Cuts" and selling them for full retail.
Sounds like the "Director's Cut" is nothing more than the content that's already been released plus a patch. Hopefully they're rolling out the patch to the existing versions of the game as well, although I wouldn't put it past Squeenix to try to make people buy a whole additional version of the game to get that.

I don't have that experience with anything of theirs. Which games are you referring to? Console ones?
DX:HR's hideously designed boss battles are a perfect example why it's a better idea for developers to keep everything in-house and not to risk outsourcing parts of games.
Hmm... I own DX:HR AE / TML / all other small DLC already... I MAY get this if it's not more than $10... (or I'll wait until it is)

Having said that the boss battles, whilst unexpected... weren't THAT bad IMO... as long as you spec'd into the Typhoon :P
This should be free imo. Or very fuckin cheap.

Fenixp: Awesome. As much as I've had my issues with Human Revolution, it was still an amazing game. I was really sad that it was only supposed to get released on the Wii... thing, this is just fantastic news.
You should play the original Deus Ex, compared to that mess, HR is a masterpiece!!

They're very easy no matter what anyone says... every boss room is full of grenades and guns, so you can stun and shoot them in the head and they go down fast. The issue with them is that they can't adapt to your playthrough style, you have to go combat in the boss room.
Considering that this is effectively an GOTY or Complete edition, can GOG sell it? I would love to toss out my DRMed version.

Yep. Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, and Final Fantasy X-2.

They have a history of doing this. I know, it's consoles, but if they have a choice between offering a lower priced version and charging full price, they'll go for the full price. Especially since they lost a lot of money due to their dumbass expectations.
