Thought I would try the 8-S and exchange S for the digit on a phone. I think I'm overcomplicating it still.

Before this hint, I've already checked every possible digit (2-9) combination, so it is not about digit-letter. Also I got nothing trying the other side. Plus I tried to subtract possible groups - nothing.

Something weird is hidden there, lol.

Yeah it is. You have the number, the direction and the character.

I guess I just had to sleep on it because I got it on my first try this morning/afternoon.

When I subtracted before, I was replacing the letter after the letter in the equation. 8-S = K. so here I was initially starting with 8SK, but I needed to do 8KS and replace the letter than was used. Repeat process for the other two spots. I might try out the original to see if I can get it, too.

Thanks for the contest, the clues, and the game, xyem! I decided to accept Space Rangers since I didn't have it and it's one I thought about in the sale that had it recently.

I don't know if I would have facepalmed had someone told me the answer though.
