To those of you saying that you can't just talk to someone to convince them your faith is the right path, I give you the example of the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses. If door-to-door missionary work didn't get results they would not bother doing this. Of course they always go in pairs and are well-groomed on the details of their cult, which gives them an advantage over the average person, but it's certainly not out of the question. There are all sorts of books and leaflets produced for the purpose of assisting people with bringing the message of Jesus to people.
Rohan15: I really hope that stupid bitch dies. She thinks HINDU is the wrong path because it isn't Christianity? Oh, hell no!
It's quite a logical conclusion to make. You see, Christianity (like Judaism) is what is known as "monotheistic", the belief that only one god exists. This is very different from most other religions, where only a specific deity or set of deities are actively worshipped by adherents
but they believe that other religions' deities are just as real as their own. Christians don't hold that view, so all other gods are false.
If all other gods are false, it logically follows that their afterlife and/or path to the afterlife are just as false. This is reinforced in the bible, where Jesus at one point describes Heaven as "my Father's house", saying the famous line "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". Since no path but that of the Lord will get people into Heaven, all paths other than that one must therefore be the
wrong path.
This exclusivity is what all Christians believe in (and Jews and Muslims too for that matter, albeit without Jesus). You can't be a Christian while also believing that other gods exist because their non-existence is a central principle. Those who claim to follow God while also following other gods are just fooling themselves, because the Bible specifically states that God is "a jealous God" and does not permit the worship of other gods; it's one of the Ten Commandments.
Rohan15: Please explain to me this: If our 'God' created us, who the hell made him?
Um... nobody made God, the whole idea is that God has been around forever and ever ("In the beginning there was God") and is not subject to the human concept of time or anything like that.
Rohan15: Molly, you are not a true friend, for a true friend would not find anything wrong about someone else's beliefs and call it "The wrong path." Now please die and go to hell.
Hell is exactly what this is about. Maybe it's just me, but trying to save someone you care about from eternal suffering sure sounds like something a true friend would do; it's the spiritual equivalent of pulling them out of a burning car or jumping in front of a gunman or whatever. Molly honestly believes what she is selling; whether or not God and Heaven actually exist is another matter altogether and does not invalidate her motives.
