So he thinks he is Yoda giving people life lessons and making them streetwise, the thing that concerns me is that this guy is bound to have multiple accounts like theslitherydeee said, and may try to pull this again. Really pathetic attitude, taking advantage of others and then telling them its their own fault for being naive.

In the end I didn't lose anything I really valued. At least he didn't make me run a couple of miles while carrying him as part of my training. All the teeth nashing won't change what happened all you can do is move on and try not to let such events poison you to the world.

Agreed but I was just worried that we have to be vary all the time and keep an eye out for this kind of exploitation because there is no way to know how many accounts one user has at their disposal. Its good that it wasn't a big loss for you, hopefully now that he has been reported others will take heed from this.

Sounds like Wakalo's back in action and using more smart tactics than before. Last time he scammed someone in this thread was around Christmas/ New Year.
He was using a different account which got banned after the victim and myself reported him - I reported him because he PMed me to complain about me making his scamming activity public.

Just keep in mind that even banned accounts can still PM others on this forum.

I've reported this to GOG Support as completely irrational and counter-productive to the ban, but never heard back on the issue.
Seems like a good time to suggest a change on that in the "Let's discuss your experiences with the forum" thread.

Shit! I agreed on a trade with The_maestro27 yesterday, i sent him 10 bundle keys (Steam) for Magic Carpet 2 (GOG) and Ultima 8 (GOG) which i never received.

His exacts words after we agreed on the trade: "Alrighty! Ultima 8 and Magic Carpet 2 it is then! Buying!"

So i have been scammed by this scummbag too! AVOID THIS SCAMMER!!

So far i've never had problems trading with GOG members, everyone i traded with has been kind and honest.

It's really sad that even on GOG we now have to watch out for scammers. This is actually the second time i've been scammed in a trade this week... A few days ago a Steam-Member called "Johnny" asked for a trade, i sent him a few bundle keys and he sent me an invalid key in return and immediately kicked me of his friend-list.
Now i can't find him any more (a search for "Johnny" on Steam returns 80.000+ results)...

This is just a bad week for me... *grumble*

Ah yes, I wasn't very clear. Momo1991, alloy627 and triock all showed me great kindness today, and it brightened my day. Sucks to know some people feel that have to stoop to the level The_maestro27 did, but the kindness of the majority of folks in this community makes me smile. :)

To everybody who got scammed I can only say I'm really sad for that, it is a real shame to see this kind of behavior ocurring in this forums, never gone through that so I can't say I share your feelings, but I know how it feels when someone lie to you so that should be aproximate enough.
