Ah, so it payed off not to get too excited this time. ;)

Although the Cyberpunk game sounds interesting. I might actually have fun with it sometime in the future once I'll have switched to a PC that can run The Witcher and TW2 and played all the way through them, heh.

And even though it doesn't concern me, I'll have to admit the backup deal for the Witcher games is a very nice gesture, kudos for that!

Gilou: What do you mean by "Witcher 1 backup"?
If you have Witcher 1, you can enter CD key and get copy on GoG

keeveek: The game will be based on Cyberpunk 2020 , not titled Cyberpunk. The game title isn't set yet.
Sadly the video is not working properly for me, was it stated it was 2020 and not 2030? All I gathered it is based on the cyberpunk franchise which indeed could mean 2030 as well (The HORROR)

What part of Colonization on GOG is not exciting? You, sir, are a silly person. =P

I wonder if there's still going to be another release tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't, but I'd be fine with that. I've only added nine games to my list these last two days. o.O

*shrugs* I've never really enjoyed turn-based strategy games, least of all those with a historical background, so for me personally this isn't any more exciting than any other game release on GOG that I won't spend money on. I'm not saying it can't be exciting for others, but for me it paid off not to get excited. Still, I won't disagree with your second statement. (Especially not when I'm so politely addressed.) ;)

Leroux: snip
Fair enough. True, they're not for everyone. I grew up with these kind of games, hence my love for them.
Hey, thanks for the input guys. I was on the forums (during lunch break), and saw the epic releases. Only thing that disappointed me was the lack of the TR themes as bonus material, but I've bsched enough already about that. ;)

Will it be an actual port or a Wineskin wrap?

Edit: OK, this post suggests it'll be native. I'll wait and see.

Marcin in the video said it would be a native version. A Wineskin port for an old game is fine, but the Witcher 2 really needs a native version to run reasonably well - well as reasonably well as The Witcher 2 can run. :)

I'm curious how they are going to do it. I guess they have to rewrite the engine in OpenGL - that seems intense. I don't think there are ways to make DirectX working on the Mac, but maybe I'm wrong about that?

If they said it'll be native, I hope they mean that, and Cider isn't. Cider is Wine.
Also, some info about their sales

Gazoinks: Yeah, it's based on the PnP system.

SimonG: Which was, iirc, the poor mans Shadowrun.

But I am really psyched about the release, there are not nearly enough cyberpunk games nowadays.
That's unnecessarily harsh. C2020 was the secon edition of C2013, which predates Shadowrun by about a year. Other than that some people might prefer their cyberpunk to be devoid of magick, trolls and elves, and with more glam rock and mirrorshades, so I can't see how that matter of subjective taste in genre would make anyone a lesser gamer. Nor why the superiority of Shadowrun would be obvious.
