Like I said, do odd jobs around the neighborhood. Or.. do what adults do when they can't afford a toy. Go without.

You said you were 15 in the original post man...if you want someone to give you something you should never lie...I don't like lies..doesn't improve your chances here friend. It may make more sense to look at GOG's catalouge and see what game here you would like to play the most...there are a bunch of contest people are always running, some of them random...I know about growing up poor...but, you do have a net connection, and that probably means you have enough food and shelter etc, and a little extra..I know that doesn't mean things are great, trust me...but someone will call you out if you exagerate too much, or seem to be....Anyways last time I checked Vampires Bloodlines was rated M and when I played it, it was quite mature in my opinion, not sure I would gift such a game to a minor even if I wanted to...

No I didn't lie about my age. I said I'm 15 on my first post. Yes, I am going to be 15 in August, so I just said it anyways because I'm close to my birthday anyways.

When I was 14 (6 years ago now) I was mowing my neighbors grass and shoveling snow during winter. In the summer I payed for the gas I used and STILL brought in enough to buy the few games I could afford.
There was a period from about 2003-2007 where I practically had no money (bought 5 games in that time, D2 + Expansion and Guild Wars Prophecies-Nightfall) because of hardtimes on the family but I managed to get by with knocking on doors and asking what needed to be done when the grass and snow fell through. Picking up shit, planting stuff, painting a deck, washing windows, running errands, babysitting (I HATE kids..), or even help someone move.
It didn't matter what I did as long as I got paid in the end because every dollar was MINE so I didn't have to ask the parents for anything and they would only offer to pay for essentials which was fine by me.

Then ask for Bloodlines for your birthday. I doubt situation is as dire that parents won't pay 5$ for their kids birthday. I mean they did buy you SC2 and BG. And you do have net, and a decent computer. So situation is clearly not that dire.
Buuuuut, if you parents are actually conscious about their purchases and refuse to buy you a M rated game I can see how that could be a problem. :)

Perhaps raising money won't work for you, because your parents would not buy these games for you even if you paid them to do so? I think Aningan has the right idea perhaps ;)...don't worry you won't be 14 forever. :D

I know how you feel about the game and how great it is on sale, but trust me, you can ALWAYS wait to get the game(s) later. When I was 15, which was almost a decade ago now (I feel old for some reason :(), there were a great many games I wanted to buy, but could never get.
Nowadays, since I have a stable job and whatnot, I have MORE than enough games than I could possibly play even if I played 24 hours a day.
The game will on sale in the future, don't worry, and trust me, it won't seem as urgent as it seems now after you buy it anyways :)

Yeah, seems to me you got this idea in your head that you want this game now and aren't willing to accept anything less than instant satisfaction... That's not how things work in the real world. If you want something, you'll have to work for it. You have the appropriate age to do small jobs and run errands around the neighborhood, etc. and there are plenty suggestions in this thread of work that will easily make you $5,- in a day or two.
Also, I'm not buying the whole "I'm so poor it should probably be reported" thing -- you have access to a computer and the internet, and you have StarCraft II and Baldur's Gate II... Just go out and work for it, kid -- it will be all the more rewarding when you get to buy the game with money you earned yourself.

(In a South Park voice:) What-what-whaaat?
When did that happen? I presume it can be collected for free from Steam?
Since I used to be an avid TeamFortress player for many many years (ever since QuakeTF came out), I was thinking of jumping to TF2 a long time, mainly because less and less people played TF anymore.

Look, when I was a kid like you, we didn't even have games like Vampires: Bloodlines! Our parents would make us play some simple Space Invaders and PacMan clones for hours and hours, and we were happy as small piggies.
Kids of today, no appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, always wanting everything here and now...

*snip*
BUT the feeling will pass, sometimes in the matter of hours :D
And when I grew older, it kinda went away. But I still do have these bursts of "I want that now" -moments...
