After a first entry that was rather so-so, the second Call of Juarez game, technically a prequel, is much, much better than I ever thought it would be. Ray and his brother are interesting characters, and this is about as western as you can make a western title. Certain chapters that bridge the story have multiple side-quests in a sandbox-style level, which is a neat idea. The quick draws are also much improved and add a lot of cinematic flair to the proceedings. Aside from the lackluster multiplayer, it's very, very good.

It really is a stunning game... amazing visuals and great shooter gameplay. Only flaw it has was the auto-aim with dual six-shooters.
Bad thing is it has no Co-Op play. Game designed as Co-Op but there is no Co-Op. So shame, but game is really cool.
I went to buy it on Impulse (£20).
Got to the checkout and noticed a big fat 'Remove This From Your Cart!'.
Guess the UK and others aren't allowed to purchase this :(

That's ridiculous, because the company who made that is Polish. I guess Ubisoft and their crazy American favoritism strikes again!
EDIT: Also, I looked on Impulse, and it has TAGES 3-Machine Activation Limit. On Steam, it sounds like TAGES isn't there, but the other problems come into play, like plenty of bugs that Techland is still working on fixing two months after release and sort of broken multiplayer.
I mean, I guess you could crack the TAGES protection so you don't have to deal with that crap.
If you can play it on a console I recommend you do that, though it won't look as awesome as they've got the PC version to look.

If you crack a game you can never patch it. It sounds like that one needs some patching.

Retail version is DRM free and Steam version has only Steam DRM. I don't understand why Ubisoft put Tages DRM on Impulse version, LOL.

It's not really a multiplayer game anyway, and playing an FPS on a console is rather unpleasant, in my experience.

It sounds like Steam and retail version don't have TAGES. What the hell, Impulse? Why put TAGES on there when Steam and retail doesn't have it?

It can be beneficial to play this one with a controller, as there are scenes where everything goes slow-motion and you control both of your guns with each stick.

I'm actually very unhappy with the deal Impulse has with Ubisoft. Most of their games are not available to European users and the ones that are are loaded with TAGES. Ubisoft flipping the finger to Europe as usual.

I'd just blame Ubisoft, personally. Their policies are erratic to say the least.
And sad thing is Ubisoft is European company. :S
Update : I managed to get it (albeit the 360 version)!
A shopping trip to our local Walmart/Asda had Call Of Juarez for £25 on Xbox360!
They also had 'Prototype' on 360 too for the same price too.
I grabbed them both, but remembered soon after that I only went there to get some bread.
Well now you can make a prototype juarez sandwich
