It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Now(In chrome) over the past few days threads have been staying highlighted even if I have read all new posts(It goes away if I post to a thread though) and some threads with new posts don't get highlighted.

That one is already in the OP, another one caused by the whacky timestamps :|

Namur: I feel your pain, that's the reason i switched from IE to Chrome to browse gog. That one has been on the OP for months now but i'm going to move it up a bit.
Well, I won't be switching browsers anytime soon, but now I guess I'd visit the other subforms less.

Yeah, that was basically the decision i was faced with, get a second browser (mainly just for gog) or give up all togheter on tracking the game specific boards.

Definitely not an elegant 'solution' but the best it can be done from our end untill gog get's around to fixing it.

Namur: The messed up timestamps are causing all sorts of issues, on the boards, on the pm system, etc. The problem first reared its ugly head in June or July and sadly it's only been getting worst with no fix in sight. There are already a couple of reports in the op related to timestamps though.
Yep, I know. I just wanted to have some proof to back it up, which could potentially also help in finding the bug. I don't know.

Namur: In regards to the site being borked, it seems that the massive hammering on the servers caused it since things seem to be in their place now, right ?
Yes, this seems to be the case. It was probably just holiday fatigue.

Ok.

Given the ammount of disruption a solution for the issue would sure be nice. Conversations over pm can get very confusing now with the entries sorted out of order and whatnot ;)
When I upgraded to Firefox 9.0 I would stay "online" after I logged off. With the 9.01 update I am never online nor does the online appear to be working for other community members . . . no one is online . . ever.

Anybody else having similar issues?

Plus some threads show as unread when I read them and saw the latest reply, and some are marked as read when there are new replies beyond what i've seen.

I think everybody is offline Stuff, and it has been so for a while. It doesn't appear to be browser related though, it's something at gog's end.

The online thingy does seem to work on ocasion but only for staff members.

Namur: ...
Thanks, I thought it might be community wide but didn't see any posts about it. It's not a problem but I have gotten used to seeing folks on-line with the green indicator . . . =)

I just got thrown out! GOG might have a point in that though, I probably do spend a little too much time here.

Still, it feels a little weird getting logged out just as I went from the topic to the General Discussion listing.

A wild guess says that this and the "offline" state is related - I'm not detected as online, so the timestamp for my session isn't updated, so I'm logged out for real after a few hours.
I was thrown out too (except i wasn't around when it happened). I had to log in just now wich shouldn't have happened.
Likewise, I also had to login again.
EDIT: But that didn't fix the offline issue.
EDIT 2: It didn't fix the re-edit issue either.

We seem to show up as ONLINE again.

EDIT: The re-edit issue is NOT fixed, though.
