Awesome... since my computer can't handle it I'm downloading for PS3.
Just finished the demo on PC, which ran very well on my modest machine. Unfortunately, it was too short to really get me interested, but long enough to showcase a few things that really got on my nerves (most particularly the totally random slow-motion during combat).

Mentalepsy: (most particularly the totally random slow-motion during combat).

That only happens during a particularly epic finishing move. For example, if you're doing a badass spinkick to the face, that also happens to KO the guy.

I just loaded up the demo again and played the first combat again - the one where you fight three guys, followed by two more guys.
I counted - the game went into slow motion ELEVEN times.

Yes, the game goes into slow-motion quite often. Perhaps it was because I was using a controller, but I didn't mind it. The close-up slow-motion only happens for me when I'm finishing off the last guy of a group. It's like that guitar riff Gears of War does when you kill the last guy in an area so you know you're done there.
The combat itself doesn't feel too quick-timey. They have something similar to the Spider-Sense in the Spider-Man games, where a goon's head will be marked when he's about to hit you, so you can counter it. The counters here felt very dynamic, based on where you are positioned at the time. One time I let an enemy come at me from behind, I countered, and I grabbed his leg and took him down without Batman so much as glancing behind him. It was very well-done.
Played the PC and PS3 demo... PS3 version looks like crap, PC version is very well done... I am pretty stunned really.
Must buy on Steam... pre-ordering it on payday.

Really? I thought it looked really good! Then again, I usually play my PS3 where I'm not extremely close to the TV, so maybe the jaggies jar a lot more from there.
Wow...pretty impressed with the PC Demo. This definitely is something that's on my radar.

Well I'm mostly a PC gamer, I care about high resolutions, texture quality and AA and such.. the PS3 version looks pretty bad compared to the PC version on my setup.
If you don't care much about graphics or didn't compare it to the high-end PC version, I'm sure the PS3 game is just fine.
Absolutely awesome demo, made me wanna buy this.Runs like dream and looks stunning, gameplay is really fun.
Well I just finished the demo.
Mostly okay, the stealth seems to work pretty well and the swinging and handling of the action events seems fairy good. I like the story so far (its STILL weird to think the same man was both Joker and Luke Skywalker) but I really don't like the combat, its pretty much the same as in that watchmen game that was on the 360 arcade recently.
I'll probably end up getting it since the combat isn't intolerable, just rather dull and I've played plenty worse games for the story

You don't like the combat? I thought it was a lot better than the Watchmen brawling mechanics. It takes a bit to figure out how to do it smoothly and not punch the air several times like a moron, but once you get it, taking down goons can be very fun.

IMO he has been the best Joker in a long time. Heath Ledger is good but nothing will top Hamill's version.

I dunno. Maybe it's due to the fact that the demo only gives you about 30 seconds of real combat time, but it seemed to me that it didn't really matter what button I pressed or which way I was facing; as long as I did -something-, Batman would take care of the rest.
In fact, I did an experiment just now - I went back to the first combat scene again, and I tried doing absolutely nothing but left-clicking; I didn't move, aim, dodge, counter or anything. I did take one hit from a thug, but that aside, Batman pretty much fought on his own, and I easily took down both groups pretty quickly. I even got some sort of "max combo bonus" that I didn't get when I was actually trying :/

Hope the full game will have a harder difficulty, then. Might be a good bet to start on Hard.
