Thanks you guys. You have shown me lots of awesome video games that I've never heard.

Most of the space simulators I can't run because my laptop is crap. (really to just become a full on pc player). Real Warfare 2L Northern Crusades looks awesome but again comp is a piece of crap. Its seems like Total War + Mount and Blade.

But the other I will check out.

Also mount and blade series and mods: I haven't played them. This thread was out of curiosity really

I just realized, we have Port Royale 2 on GOG. It's not exactly like Mount&Blade, but it's close. Also, there's "The Guild" which looks similar, but i never played it.
The Guild 1 and 2
How about M&B mods? There are tons of them. From historically accurate (down to the last detail) to sci-fi/fantasy. Some good mods that I played (all are either M&B or warband mods):

- Imperium Romanum - was in beta last time I checked. Fun nonetheless
- Blood and Thunder (not sure about the name here) - new units and additional fantasy elements (undead hordes marching the world map)
- freelancer / floris mod pack - both bring some additional features to the original
- last days of third age - Lotr - inspired mod
- star wars: something (again, dont remember the name)
thats quite a necro
