yep despite some of the classic gamers out there, who look for the gameplay. Lets face it ,today the game is likely to sell more, if it had achievements and other tiny features like cloud save, co op, leader boards etc let be on live or steam those features do some magic :D

SirPrimalform: Prepare to have your entire account banned if something like a chargeback or a paypal screwup happens.
Also glad to hear you like $=€.
Finally... the less said about the Steam forums the better. :P

liquidsnakehpks: you will never hear the word "steam is decent" from some people around here, just to find out who just say steam is good :D
ya i admit i bought top gun on steam for the achievements lol just look at them :D although the game failed hard..........
I'll say it's decent enough but I wont go further. Mostly because of chat. But I play games like normal person, if I didn't bought that in steam, I wont play that in there.

Edit: so I meant to say that at least that the chat option is quite good for games that we have bought there. Otherwise it can crash other games.

On what grounds did you request one? Presumably it was a 'game not working at all' situation. Still, I'm betting they granted the refund rather than you demanding one through paypal, right?

I made a gift purchase on 6th July, which was apparently reported by PayPal as a failed transaction. Steam Support told me to wait 3-5 business days for the money to re-appear in my PayPal account, and to try my purchase again. I purchased the gift from elsewhere, which was then activated on Steam. A week later and no money returned to my PayPal account, so I raised a dispute through PayPal. A couple of hours later, the original gift transaction goes through, which is obviously now useless. I contact Steam Support again and explain the situation and they agree to a refund.

Several more communications backwards and forwards with Steam Support (mostly them making excuses), but a couple of days ago I finally get the 'credit' message in my Steam transaction history, so I should have the funds back in my PayPal account shortly! :D

I got mine for Worms Reloaded, because when it came out was bugged and I couldn't get into multiplayer. That was argument enough to get a refund.
