Am I the only one having such a difficult time trying to download Broken Sword !!???
Been trying for 4 days with no luck.
The download does not complete and message says "corrupt files"
I even downloaded the Adobe Aid hoping that would help but I can not seem to open it on my computer.
I am not computer saavy but have never had this much trouble trying to download a game.
I emailed customer support and am waiting for help, but was wondering if anyone else has problem downloading?
Thanks

I downloaded Sacred Gold a couple of days ago, and that worked fine.
I'll have a go with a couple of others and get back to you.
[edit] downloaded three games (Ishar 1+2, Lure of the Temptress, Heroes of Might and Magic) and they all seem fine.
Are you downloading in the browser, or using the downloading software?
Also, which browser are you using?

Try downloading with a different browser and see what happens.
Yeah, different browsers, GoG downloader and if it doesn't help, I might as well upload it somewhere just for you or send it to you via msn or sumethin' (Not exactly a pernament solution, I know, but problem may solve itself in time...)

I can not use the GoG downloader as my computer will not let me open the Adobe Aid I downloaded. Golly I wish I was not so clueless.....

What antivirus application do you have? If you have Norton, I recommend you download a removal tool from them, and find a proper AV that doesn't hog half your computer's resources, and messes up everything.
You might also want to try running CCleaner, which might help with remove stuff that may cause problems.

There's your answer right there. Disable it while downloading (or better yet uninstall it and get a better anti-virus).

Yup, like cogadh said. McAfee is also prone to messing up your system. It seems to be a problem with a lot of large and popular retail AVs. Get AVAST, AVG or Avira, or if you feel like paying I would recommend NOD32.
If you are going to switch antivirus always remember to disconnect from the internet while you are uninstalling your old antivirus and installing your new antivirus. Also i'd recommend Avast since it's the antivirus i am using right now.
I'll second that Avast! recommendation. Its free and way better than almost any commercial product out there.

There was a nasty rumour floating around some time ago (several months, a year... something) that it didn't pick up as many viruses as other products. I've since switched to Avira and am now a happy monkey... were there any truth to that rumour, and if so has it been corrected?
I would not recommend AVG however, since the scheduler in the free version leaves much to be desired (scan through the whole computer once per day, or not at all... same for checking for updates). Avira throws up a huge dialog box whenever it updates, urging you in funny ways to buy any of their paid products (instantly throwing you out of whatever full-screen program/game you were immersed in, but otherwise not much of a pain), and Avast has them both beat in usability (no ads as far as I remember, and good scheduling), leaving only the question about the virus detection engine (which, to me, is more important than an ad every now and then).

Dunno, but I've only been using it for some months. Avira was good, but annoyed me with the ads that came during the updates. AVAST has detected this and that, but nothing much (since I know, to some extent, how to browse the Internet without messing shit up).

I have never heard of the rumors of which you speak, but I can say from personal experience that Avast! provides excellent protection for me. While Avast! is my primary AV product, I do regularly perform full system scans using on-demand tools like Dr. Web CureIt as a secondary check. Those on-demand tools have never found anything left behind by Avast! and Avast! has certainly prevented infections from occurring. I am fully confident in it, no matter what any rumors to the contrary might say.
Well I've been using avast since I got my laptop (call it 2 years) since it was the only x64 antivirus available at the time, I used to be a norton lover but systemworks 2005 hogged more resources than games and Avast seems to offer a comparable level of protection with practically no pissing about so its now the one I rely on.
I hardly ever get viruses anyway but avast has picked up several trojans in stuff I've downloaded. Didn't seem to have any way to clean them, it was just a quarantine or delete thing
