I want to play this game so bad I could die. (Probably not though)

Played some more today and I am liking it more and more with each passing minute. Hell, I've just shelved Red Dead Redemption and Sakura Wars until I am finished with Alpha.
The game definitely picks up the pace when you finish Saudi Arabia.

Preloaded, waiting an hour so Steam will unlock the damn thing. Or sleep. Yeah, that's it.

Well I have to agree with barjed, the game gets better as it goes and I found myself really sucked into the narrative. It had that sid meier 'just one more turn' kind of feel to it and after sitting down to play at about 2100 last night, the next time I looked at the clock was 0430 this morning.
There are still some problems with the game and at least one instance where I found myself saying "Really? Come on!" when I paid to have a snioper rifle set up in the field for me to use and the only targets within range when I got to it were protected by a forcefield apparently cast by a nearby tree. They were on a scaffold about 4 metres wide and the first 2-2.5m on the right couldn't be hit because the bullets vanished but just to the left of it they were vulnerable. That's easily the biggest problem I've had with the game so far and it was easily ignored really.
Also, I am making it my aim in the game to shag that hot gunslinger goth girl. You probably can't since she's so much younger but her dossier says she's late teens or early 20s so she's legal...

Hey, this is fun! The damn game won't unlock and it's been past the unlock time! The game page has no countdown clock, or even a BUY GAME button, it's not on the new releases lists or the top sellers list or the coming soon list. I just want to play the damn game!

No it wasn't, KOTOR 2 was pure hell for the first 3 hours, then it became good, THEN you realised they had botched the ending.

Let me guess, Steam? I never pre-order on Steam because their unlock times are always way off.

Way off? The Europeans have the game playing and they're happy, but we Asians supposedly get it at the same date but surprise, we don't! This is just pure stupidity and incompetence in the hands of Valve.
