As cool as that is, Activision are still (And as long as Bobby Kotick is in charge, always will be) the Evil Empire of video-games. Still, good to know they aren't COMPLETELY heartless.

So what exactly is so bad about Activision? I keep hearing people complain about them but I've never understood why.

Things Bobby Kotick has said about Activision's costumers, charging $15 for map-packs, running all their franchises into the ground with yearly releases, etc. I realize they're a business, and they're in it to make money, but sometimes they take just way too far.

Because they are successful and make lots of money. Apparently that is a bad thing.

how many of those were gun crimes?
Speaking of the cool side...

I don't know. I couldn't find any statistics of the percentage of gun crimes in Denmark, since it's not much of an issue.

I'm not really interested in starting a discussion of the subject, I just found your comment somewhat arrogant, and didn't want it to go uncontested.

Actually, my comment was supposed to be a joke. Besides which, what makes you think I'm from the US? I could be Canadian for all you know.

That was what is called a "deduction", based on the text "From United States" underneath your profile picture.

Interesting statistics. Now I want to move to Denmark.

I have quite a few actual guns and there's no law against having shit loaded in the house. Still, it's just fucking stuff, if someone breaks in while I'm there, sure, you have no idea what the fuck is up with them if they're willing to break into an occupied home and in my mind doing whatever you need to do to defend yourself is completely justified.

With that said, I have insurance on my stuff. Yes, I'd lose my deductible and it would be a giant pain in the ass, but it's still just stuff. Hell, if you came to me today and said, "OG, I'll take all your old shit and replace it with brand new shit for a mere 1000 dollars!" I'd probably put the 1000 smackers in your hand by the end of the day.

Yes, even I should have better backup practices for data and more shit in a safety deposit box, but again, it's just stuff.

I know you were probably mostly kidding, but I find people so bloody willing (around here at least) to kill or gravely wound someone for just stuff it's sad. Renters insurance runs maybe 30 bucks a month around here, it's just silly to get that worked up about it.

EDIT: Clearly Activision is a large company and has many cool people working in some areas of it. I still think their leadership is a bunch of tools. I'm glad someone took the time to help out one of their huge fans (as this fellow clearly is), it does make me think we might not be totally fucked as a species. We still probably are, but at least now there's some doubt.

Bah, everyone knows no one is Denmark is smart enough to commit a major crime anyways so that's WHY the rate is so low. :P

Gun ownership doesn't seem to be a primary indicator of crime rate. Culture and poverty, however, are.
