xa_chan: Nothing, really. As I know there would be as many people who wouldn't give a damn if I did it as people who would be outraged.

It was just what was written: a troll. no more, no less.

On Internet, yes. Definitely yes.

shadesofdeath320: Cool cross. Try to make a triquetra fusion as well.

I'm of Irish/Italian/German descent so combining different cultural aspects appeals to me.
I had to google that. I recognize it, now that I see it.

I think all my ancestry is Irish, Australian, English (right off the Mayflower), Italian, German, and Native American. Wonder if I can incorporate all those in with this Cross. Actually, I already have a wolf tattoo with blue tribal for my Native American ancestry, but I still think it would be cool to have them all in one tattoo. Could use the Union Jack as a background for the Cross I made, maybe throw in the 7-point stars for Australia, make the bottom part of the German Cross resemble a totem pole...wouldn't know what to do for Italy, though.

Headless Cross album, I presume?
Just to add to the free practice of speech and religion debate. France recently banned the veil of muslim women. If you listen to Sarkozy, its blatantly islamophobic. He makes many poor arguments but frequently calls it a taliban practice instead of muslim. There are some scary hardline islamic groups out there but this is not the way to handle it. It also sets a precedent. If they can find one half assed reason to ban this religious practice then what is to stop them from banning any others. No prayer in public? It does get worse but I'll let this stew.
sorry, but that's taking politicians with an agenda and a presidential election to win in 2012 for politicians who actually care about the country and the citizens.

Scare tactics work well in France with old people, and old people are Sarkozy's main fanbase. Why do you think I left France? ^_^

I'm curious as to why anybody would have a problem with that. Every once in a really long while I'll see a woman fully covered, but most of the time the head wear is really modest and covers little beyond just the hair.

I'm not a fan of the practice of being completely covered, but one of the things about freedom of religion is that it's ultimately things like this which end up being protected so that you don't have to worry about what essential bits of somebody's religion might get banned.

Well I can see where he's coming from, truly from everything I've heard so far the practice is a symbol of oppression more than anything else, but not only could I be wrong... it's wrong to prevent people from dressing in such a manner, regardless of what it stands for, because there's nothing which is actually "wrong" with it.
Getting back on-topic...my topic, I might add...I've put together two new designs, this time with color. The first I call an Emerald Cross, combining the elongated German Cross with an emerald as a background to combine into a modified Celtic Cross. The second I call the Union Cross A, putting a Union Jack behind the Emerald Cross, and the A standing for Australia because I've included the stars of the Australian flag as well.

I'm still at a loss for anything Italian. Odd thing is, despite being from the Jersey Shore (yes, I was born & raised in SEASIDE HEIGHTS NEW JERSEY), I always found Guido behavior annoying. Regardless, I do love Italian food.

Anyway, feedback is appreciated.

I almost like the second one. Almost.

The Union Jack is the issue. It draws attention to the fact that the cross either isn't straight, or isn't symmetrical, and you can't really see much of it because of the green orb under the cross. I think it would work better without the green orb.

Interestingly enough, only ONE of the people on the Jersey Shore TV show is actually FROM Jersey, and only two of them are even remotely of Italian descent. As if Jersey didn't have a bad enough reputation anyway. =\
Ditch the orb.

I like the first. I have considered a tattoo of a celtic cross headstone but I haven't seen any tattoos with good stoney look. Its always good to celebrate your heritage.

Wasn't an album art t-shirt, just a plain Black Sabbath one

I just don't like the tempers flaring up. I'm fine with open discussion...and thanks for the opinion of the pic. :-)

A couple others are mentioning the emerald orb, which I could shrink a bit & slap in the middle of the cross. And the Union Jack showing that the cross isn't straight. That was just how I found the cross clipart online, so I can find another one that is straight.

And then there's Italy...wonder if I could take the bottom piece of the cross & shape it to look like Italy ("the boot").
