Titanium: Thank you again ksj8ak2 for doing this giveaway. We really appreciate it. :)

Was there any special reason for it? Or do you want to keep it to yourself, which is fine by us.
There is no particular, single reason. I felt like doing this, maybe motivating others to do alike, and hopefuly have a small, but nice advertising effect for GoG on top.
I just woke up and spotted Thief in my email from two hours ago. Good thing too, I needed to practice for my next heist. NO! END SENTENCE AND HIDE EVERYTHING!!!!

ksj8ak2: I'm through, and ended up spending a little more than initially anticipated. Here's some info on how things went.

The first gift was Fallout, the last one Arcanum. In total there were about two dozen people asking, of which 17 got a gift or two.

Fallout, Grimrock, Wing Commander IV and Baldur's Gate: The original Saga lead the pack, followed in no particular order by:

Alien Breed + Tower Assault
Betrayal at Krondor Pack
In Cold Blood
Outcast
The Last Express
Thief Gold
Deus Ex GOTY
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

I had quite some fun doing this, especially since all of the personal feedback was very polite, and people were very decent in what they asked for.

ZPavelZ: Very nice of you and thanks!
I got another idea, by the way. Next time you might want to do such a thing you could try it during a weekend sale, and ask people to submit requests only out of the "discounted" list so that in total there would be more gifts.
That sounds like a good idea. Maybe there's a place in the 'official' gifting thread for this idea, like a sticky post giving such hints to potential gifters.

Instructions for gifters? As in "how to be a gifter for dummys"?

If there is such a thread, I do not know of its existence.

You might want to ask nmillar to edit his first post in "Community gifting" to include these things there, if you think that would be useful or it is possible to create an entirely new thread (I doubt it will be a sticky, though).
Very nice of you to give away all of these.
I've missed this giveaway but genorousity of this community grows every day .

Yes, kind of 'gifting for dummies', combined with general hints and ideas like the one you posted (e.g. 'Pick a theme, e.g. 'Only RPGs', or 'Just pick from products on sale', or: 'You need the email adress the wisher registered with GoG in order to gift to them' [if that actually is a requirement]).

All in all the gifting procedure was blatantly easy to handle, once I actually clicked through it. Just reading what's on screen would've helped a lot, but for some reason Mr. Brain refused to spot the obvious.

Yes, brains generally work like that. I think it's a conspiracy.

It isn't, you could just as well send the gift to yourself and then give them the code through whatever means you prefer; GOG PM, IM, Facebook/Twitter private message, a hand-written letter left on their bedside table, tattooed into your knuckles so they can read it when you punch them in the face...

Yeah, one of my secret passions is leaving letters on peoples bedside tables. Of course, I have usually stalked them for a while first, but only just enough to learn of their SO and learning the SO's handwriting and name.

You do know I am talking about something else. ;)

Oh dammit! I thought I was found out, so I chickened out and decided to spill the beans before the questioning got worse. So you didn't know about that? Dammit!
