This thing (I attatched an image, not sure if it has come up or not). It's a launcher for (some) CDPR games. You don't have to use it but it's the default if you don't set up your own shortcut.

I personally never saw it, but apparently CP2077 and the NEW Next-Gen Witcher 3 use it for "My Rewards" (CDReds creation club) free for now, but who knows?

I see it as a sign that CDRed is going full blown Ubisoft! I mean they went from DRM-free and free-DLCs to microtransaction ridden MMOs (Gwent) and then added a launcher to game that never had one.

Probably not. There are reports of CDPRed having hired Sweet Baby Inc writers so I fully expect their upcoming games to be garbage. But I hold my final judgement until it is actually there. A lot can happen until then and having no expectations means they can only be surpassed.

Will you buy a game you know nothing about? Kind of a silly question.

I'll wait to see what the story and gameplay is like as well as check reviews and any questionable promotions are included.


Will add that I wasn't a fan of any Witcher games up to this point despite my love of playing RPG and adventure games.

I plan to buy it, of course. I loved the other games (finished 3 earlier this year), the setting is fantastic and I would really enjoy to live another adventure in this universe.

My only concern is if they make it first person only like Cyberpunk, then I would probably miss it. :(

This wasn't dev from Sweet Baby, but dev from Insomniac and she said that Sweet Baby is great studio and said that her goal is to inject DEI propaganda into the games she works on. If we ignore the obvious part about Sweet Baby, I have no idea who thought hiring the writer-dev from Insomniac was a good idea. I could understand if they hired someone who designed the combat system, but Insomniac's writing is awful and cringe.
