Well, looks like Bloodlines was just a fluke, and GOG and Activision are going back to ignoring each other. Too bad, I might have actually made a purchase if it was a missing Sierra game.

880+ votes and Dex looks very beautiful. Hope to see it here.

It will be, check my edit. :P

Sarisio: So what is going to be today? Titan Quest?

anothername: IMO last week was a good teacher for the "expect nothing and do not get disapointed" mentality.
They are really getting good at it. There are a number of publishers here with some real gems which are not on Gog yet (publishers like Paradox, Stardock, Deep Silver, Nordic Games, Activision, Bethesda, etc). I want CKII, Stellaris, Cities Skylines, Saints Row IV, Titan Quest, Call of Juarez, Skyrim, heck even NepNep (even if I do own almost all of these titles alteady on Steam). What do I get - Barony: Cursed Edition. Oh joy.

There was a time I started believing Gog would become something of a contender for the "acute 71 very special The Game Distribution Channel of choice" instead of Steam. Alas.
Today's first release wasn't my cup of tea to be honest, I hope the second release is more to my liking.

There's going to be a second release today?

Isn't there normally 2 releases on Tuesdays and Thursdays?
I thought 2 releases on those days was the norm.

There isn't any norm on GOG anymore.
Maybe I'm just being overly hopeful here, but next week looks relatively interesting, with all those release streams piled onto Friday.
What a huge load of whining.

I'm actually happy about Barony. That means there might be a chance for some niche rejected games to show up. Only... maybe not, as they read everyone's complains. And you know, maybe that other ones could be more of your liking.

And all those CKII, Stellaris, Saint Row IV, et al, aren't on the same league. And GOG would release them all. If they haven't is because they can't. And Barony nor any other little indie has anything to do with that, nor are taking their place.

Oh, okay!

Let anarchy reign!

I think you're reading too much into the various posts! I can't see much whining at all, only a couple of posts that seem to reckon that Barony really isn't their sort of thing.

EDIT: OK, maybe a bit, but definitely not huge. :-)

You're right. I had just read the release thread, and there was a lot more going on there. And kind of got into my answer here.

Good news, thanks. Are there any games similar to Dex on GOG?
