Maxvorstadt: Well, I definitely want something else than Banner Saga. But I guess some people will be happy with this game. :-)
Yeah, there seems to be a very large fan base for strategy games here on GOG ...

MBiL_248: Banner Saga 2 is announced for today on Steam.

Grargar: The devs claimed that when they released the first one on GOG, the piracy of the game increased, so they'll be offering the sequel only on Steam for the time being.
well, I'm aware of that pretty sad story :( that's why I added that a bit cynical "why not"...

NuffCatnip: A dev on ASteam: "Both I suppose - sadly once we released DRM Free for The Banner Saga we saw our game get pirated like wildfire. Which is something we're keen to avoid as much possible. We haven't given it much thought at this point to be honest when it comes to GoG."
yes, because the steam version wasn't pirated at all because of impenetrable drm. oh wait.
stupid devs with no brains to think absolute basics

oh, and their precious steam banner saga 2 will be pirated the minute it's out on steam later this day.

Don't know if related, but GOG has changed the way they display currency symbols (in the HTML, not visible on-screen), so perhaps they will be introducing new currencies today (with a sale?).

I perfectly remember BS1 was on torrents the same day they released it on Steam... way ahead of GOG's release... https://www.gog.com/forum/general_archive/the_banner_saga/post167

I'm quite wondering, what was wrong with those first pirated versions, that piracy increased after GOG release, which was quite a long time after Steam...

It seems more like an excuse for delaying the release on places that are not Steam-related, who knows what the Steam arrangements actually look like. It would not surprise me if most have timed exclusivity deals with Steam.

You mean introduction of canadian and/or australian dollars?
With promo of games from respective countries?

What currencies could those be? Yen? Renminbi? Bitcoins? Mexican Pesos?

Perhaps we will see a re-release from old European curriencies like DM, Lira, Franc etc.? GOG offers nowadays not only Good Old Games, but Good Old Currencies. :)

Based on recent regional price changes, perhaps Canadian dollar, Swiss franc, Danish krone.
